I am from Washington State...let me translate...it is going to rain really hard, and snow in the mountains. Could be windy, too. (I lived through the Columbus Day storm in @1962.)

Bomb!!! Cyclone!!!
We’re all gonna die!!!
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay area, when Kalifornia was California and Reagan Country, I remember some Octobers, Novembers and Decembers where it was news if it did not rain. Weeks and weeks of downpours.
Other years, there was less rain. By February, all the Drive-By Media could talk about was the drought. And, of course, we’re all gonna die!!! The next month it rained and rained and rained. Then, the Drive-By Media said Horrible Flooding, we’re all gonna die!!!

Kind of like a Pacific version of Sandy.

Forecast for my part of WA shows total rainfall between a tenth and a quarter of an inch. Whoopie.

It was 2019 when I first heard of a “bomb cyclone” as it was supposedly coming toward my then new mountain house. I mocked the “bomb cyclone” as some hippy dippy climate change goblin that wasn’t real. The bomb cyone came and almost snapped two 80 pines on my roof. Do not mock Mr Bomb Cyclone.

According to the Weather Channel, we're due for some showers here in Orange County, Calif. next week, but nothing spectacular.
The worst hurricane to hit the Southland was a Cat.1 in September 1939. Last year's Hurricane Hillary was more like an ordinary winter rainstorm.
To: vespa300
Didn’t this happen to CA in the past year or so already?
