Price tag for Oprah’s Kamala Harris event wasn’t $1M — it was WAY more, numbers reveal

Turns out, Oprah Winfrey’s buy-in on failed Democratic nominee Kamala Harris wasn’t as cheap as originally advertised.

When it was first revealed that the Harris campaign, which spent $1.6 billion on her failed bid and is reportedly $20 million in debt, paid millions of dollars to essentially buy the support of a number of top-tier entertainers, Oprah was quick to deny reports that she was paid $1 million — the billionaire media proprietor held a September town hall with Harris and appeared at Harris’ final campaign rally in Philadelphia.

While Winfrey acknowledged that her Harpo Productions staff was paid by the Harris campaign, she did not set the record straight on how much that amounted to. Thanks to the New York Times, we now learn that according to two people familiar with the matter, the full payout for the town hall was closer to $2.5 million.

Looks like the New York Times is trying to get a little of their credibility back. It's too late liars. That said, thanks for the information. I'm guessing YOU NYT's press butt boys would NOT have told the truth if Harris had won but it's still nice to know Oprah is on your level...

This could be a great case for Gaetz. If KHarris receipts show millions went thataways and the recipient says “no”, then someone committed fraud. Someone skimmed and laundered on a grand scale.

They run multiple small donations using the donor list from ActBlue.

The individuals whose name are used don’t even know they contributed.

It’s going to be interesting now that this is openly known and there’s a new sheriff in town.
