Pinging to those from the previous threads.
We finally reached the top of the list. This one was kind of predictable for anyone who knows me well. LOL. It's a great, short song with a catchy tune -- the greatest country song ever written and performed, in my humble opinion. What's not to like in a country song about a rodeo rider in Texas? It's on a number of my playlists, and I could listen to it forever.
And I have yet to hear a country song with "Amarillo" in the lyrics that isn't a great one!
"I ain't got a dime, but what I've got is mine ... I ain't rich -- but Lord, I'm free."
Thank you all for following this thread along the way, and a special THANK YOU to SunkenCiv for posting the prior list of threads so I could repost the hyperlinks all in one place!

I enjoyed the thread very much. But my dogs were shocked that Michael Jackson did not come in at #1.

I rate this list of Alberta's Child's top 50 hits of all time as 'Pleasingly Acceptable" and thats a lot to say from this rocker! From Pink Floyd to George Strait, Def Leppard to Bruce Hornsby, The Stones to Skynyrd! Great mix tape/classic rock/modern eclectic (Classic-Progressive) R&R mix tape material.

I thought about you on my commute home this afternoon. I have been remiss in responding and negligent in thanking you for sharing this adventure of great music listening.
For some reason it dawned on me on how each person’s music library has such an enormous body of sound to draw from, yet is limited by exposure and proclivities.
I do not think our lists intersected but a few times, if ever, but our listening has at least sparsely.
There is one song you recommended separately that I have really come to enjoy. “Run,” by George Strait. Even though country music is not by any means predominant in my library, it has a place albeit selectively. That’s a jewel right there.
Now, watch out for bulldozers!
