Conspiracy theory purveyor Infowars and most of its assets went on the auction block Wednesday, with Alex Jones waiting to see if he will be allowed to stay or if he will get kicked off its online platforms.
The private auction was being held as part of Jones’ personal bankruptcy, which resulted from the nearly $1.5 billion in defamation lawsuit judgments a judge and jurors ordered the bombastic internet show and radio host to pay to families of victims of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting for repeatedly telling his audience that the Connecticut massacre of 20 children and six adults was a hoax staged by crisis actors.
The bankruptcy trustee was scheduled to open sealed bids at 10:30 a.m. CST and choose the winning bidder or bidders. There was no immediate announcement of the results.

Anyone suspect shenanigans ?
Or: “No news is good news”
He only suggested it once and it has cost him dearly.
There is nothing more dangerous than telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
Hoax’s, sue, sell assets…… maybe like Russia Gate!
Think of the millions of slanderous lies directed at President Trump—over and over and over and over again—yesterday, today, and yes tomorrow will be as well.
Where in the world did the courts suddenly determine that saying what a person honestly believes to be true is somehow prohibited speech?
Regardless of what the “truth” is behind Sandy Hook (because we will never REALLY know the truth - though real human beings lost their lives), if Alex Jones genuinely believed what he said on his program... there is no moral or Constitutional basis for him losing a lawsuit... much less over a $BILLION in judgement against him.
ENDLESS< you’re right
Alex made one mis-step and got the book thrown at him by a seemingly rigged legal system.
“ Sandy Hook was a False Flag op.”
***************************
WTF post crap like that. Seriously!
Now Alex has nothing to lose and can say whatever he wants.
And you could also say he’s a journalist asking questions
It’s so wrong.
His mis-step was that he spoke without hard evidence.
By that criteria every mass media outlet should be sued into oblivion.
Yeah once he uttered it. It’s very wrong the price he has paid.
But they were determined to get him
At least he can put it behind him now anyway
Btw I will share my story of that situation here in CT.
Later at night after the event the local call in shows started getting calls from first responders in Fairfield County (Bridgeport, Stamford).
They said that when they had heard about the Newtown shootings on the radio or TV they immediately stopped what they were doing, rushed to their vehicles and sped off to the local helipads at the nearby hospitals.
They wanted to help the many wounded that would be on site—and those helipads were just minutes away from the scene by helicopter.
When they got to their local hospital they reported for duty.
“Go home” they were told. “Nobody called you in.”
They asked about the wounded at the school—somebody had to help them.
“Go home. They don’t need you.”
Something smelled—and they knew it.
Irrespective of that, a nearly $1.5 billion in defamation lawsuit judgment is completely outrageous. Its the equitant of a civil death sentence.
How in the world did they come up with that figure? How did they show that level of damages? How was him expressing his opinion on the shooting (dumb as it was)in anyway defaming of the families?
This is very dangerous lawfare and should not stand.
Thank you.
ummm, because I have free speech. Just like Alex.
That's true, but equally important is the fact that he spent 20 minutes of his show in 7 years of 3 hour a day five days a week shows.
The parents that were allegedly harmed did not even know about it until five years later when the feral government ambulance chasers recruited them.
