“Bessent lives primarily in Charleston, S.C., with his husband John Freeman, and their two children”

I’ve had a few gay friends and am generally ambivalent as to what people do privately. But cabinet positions can have direct and indirect influence on public policy.

Gays are enough in the minority that it does seems odd to select one for a cabinet position. But I would have to learn more about him. I would not rule out someone necessarily because they are gay if their other qualifications more than made up for it but it would be an uphill sell for me.

For the small handful still concerned about the Soros affiliation, we would only remind you that the great populist-nationalist leader Viktor Orban was originally funded by Soros. For that matter, Robert Mercer, one of Trump’s key backers in 2016, made much of his fortune in a fund partnered with another prominent Democrat backer, mathematician Jim Simmons.

Apparently he has been a Trump supporter since 2016 and has raised over 50 million for the 2024 campaign. He looks like a genuine red pilled Financial genius.

I couldn’t care less if the candidate is gay, but I WOULD care if they were tilted to the left, ie., trans or an activist. I want the most competent person who just lives their life without thinking I need to celebrate HOW they live their life.

This administration is turning into the same crap show the last was. This bunch is more likely to start WWIII than the Biden bunch.

Yes he was recommended by General Kelly but Trump was in a good mode so he just shrugged as said, “Oh what the hell?” REALLY? Do you think Trump is stupid or you are a genius which is it?

Scott Bessent is known as the “Whale of Wall Street” and would be a super pick for Secretary of the Treasury if we're fortunate enough to get him.

For the record he worked for Soros’ financial network; not Soros political/social engineering network. Theses are separate and distinct entities. Ultra-rich people hire ultra-smart people to make themselves richer; that is an endorsement of Bessent’s talent not a repudiation. Bessent’s affiliation w/Soros ended about 10-years-ago.

Here is a link to Roger Stone's recent interview w/Bessent: https://stonezone.com/scott-bessent-treasury-secretary-wabc/

I heard him being defended as, unlike Mnuchin, at least not having been a member of Skull & Bones when he was at Yale.

However, unfortunately, he was actually the president of one of the two brother secret societies to S&B.

I hope Donald chooses someone else, preferably someone who ISN’T an ally of Schwartz Gyorgy the Nazi collaborator.
