The Elites Had It Coming

Everyone has a moment when they first realized that Donald Trump might well return, and here is mine. It was back in March, during a visit to the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, when I happened to read the explanatory text beside an old painting. This note described the westward advance of the United States in the 19th century as “settler colonialism.” I read it and I knew instantly where this nation was going.

My problem with this bit of academic jargon was not that it was wrong, per se, or that President Biden was somehow responsible for putting it there, but rather that it offered a glimpse of our poisoned class relations. Some curator at one of our most exalted institutions of public instruction had decided to use a currently fashionable, morally loaded academic keyword to address a visitor to the museum — say, a family from the Midwest, doing the round of national shrines — and teach them a lesson about American wickedness.

Twenty years ago I published a book about politics in my home state of Kansas where white, working-class voters seemed to be drifting into the arms of right-wing movements. I attributed this, in large part, to the culture wars, which the right framed in terms of working-class agony. Look at how these powerful people insult our values!, went the plaint, whether they were talking about the theory of evolution or the war on Christmas.

This was worth pointing out because working people were once the heart and soul of left-wing parties all over the world. It may seem like a distant memory, but not long ago, the left was not a movement of college professors, bankers or high-ranking officers at Uber or Amazon. Working people: That’s what parties of the left were very largely about. The...

The Elites Had It Coming

Elitists believe in unlimited government of, by and for an entitled, hereditary, autocratic political/bureaucratic class.

The opposite of elitism is populism.

Populists believe in limited government of, by and for the people.

I appreciate liberals proving they are out of touch with America.

I thought for sure Harriz had it in the bag when she picked up Fat Mikey Moore's "endorsement".

Just reading the excerpt, sounds reasonable.

I thought Liz Cheney would seal the deal/s

Seriously, who is the genius who came up with that idea?

And then Kamala thought it would be a good idea?

Elitism AKA Progressivism (”gov’t people are better than the populace) AKA Lying Leftism.

All peas from the same decrepit pod.

PATRIOTS: Quit worrying about and focusing on what you don’t like about the Left.

WAY PAST TIME to get a clear focus on OUR OWN OBJECTIVES: THE RESTORATION OF AMERICA’S FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPBULIC (not “democracy”).

Funny how the party that coinged the phrase “Its the economy stupid” still have no clue why they lost

The other big point they are missing is that how many working class Americans pissed off about the naked neo Fascists abuse of the US Government’s police and regulator powers to go after anyone that disagrees with the Alt Left political cult dogmas.

A lot of average Americans take the principals enshrined in the US Constitution very seriously. These self selected “elites” have a fundamental contempt for the restrictions the US Constitution imposed on their lust for power.

Trump, Musk the J6ers and dozens of other cases are just a few examples where the Alt Left abused its control of power to try and intimidate or silence political opposition

I think a lot of people like Musk, who never been very politically active, really where angry how fundamentally contemptuous the Alt Left running the Democrat party are for the rule of law.

Cheney was hated by the people of Wyoming and vaporized in the Republican primary, but Kamala thought her endorsement would help her? Incredible.

Everyone has their own tolerance level for cultural rot. I pegged out 24 years ago when left wing parasites went after the Boy Scouts for their ban on openly gay Scout leaders.

I don’t know what the heck they were thinking. Cheney endorsed Colin Allred in Texas and made a bid deal about it. Ted Cruz cleaned his clock.

I think that Liz Cheney strategy is going to puzzle people for a long time to come, but at least it may have removed her from the scene for good.

The “elites” have not even begun to get what they deserve. Hopefully, this statement will prove false in the near future.

“Populists believe in limited government...”

Populist can believe in anything since there are no overriding principles or core beliefs in populism other than the people versus the elites. Populist can be left wing, right wing, fascists, authoritarianism, Christian or Godless.

The US populist are for the most part somewhat conservative. We are lucky in that.

Well..... no.

I know that is how they tried to portray it in books movies and other media but that was not actually the case.

The party of the left was always about the "elites" leading the "sheep" which was how they thought of working people. We had to be forced into unions, that they would lead of course, so we could know what to do. They gave marching orders to the workers, they never were the workers.

Thomas Frank was the reason I stopped subscribing to the Wall Street Journal. He wrote an article praising Ayers and Dohrn.

“ Funny how the party that coined the phrase “Its the economy stupid” still have no clue why they lost”

It never was the economy and not back in 1992

It was the constitution

They’re “it’s the economy stupid” headline issues that cover the underlying tyranny they’re creating

Eventually we were always going to find out it really wasn’t the economy. The economy was just schmalz. What it really was then was the Clinton’s are cool. They’re going to allow criminals to run everything from the schools to Wall Street to the govt agencies to the local Walgreens

The jig is up when one side, the common sense side, can provide a coherent 4 year long campaign to make it all good again

They can blame the podcasters Or white men or Kamala all they want

But Trump started his campaign 2020 November Every six weeks a rally. Touching on all subjects pertaining to making America great by the rule of law and order

That’s all.
