The mystery trader who calls himself ‘Théo’ is on track for a payday of nearly $50 million
Théo is set for a huge payday. He made his wagers on Polymarket, a crypto-based betting platform, using four anonymous accounts.
He concluded the polls were overstating support for Vice President Kamala Harris. Unlike most armchair political commentators, he put his money where his mouth was, betting more than $30 million that Trump would win.
In his emails and a Zoom conversation with a reporter, Théo repeatedly criticized U.S. opinion polls. He was particularly critical of polls conducted by mainstream-media outlets that, in his view, were biased toward Democrats and tended to produce outlier poll results that favored Harris.

Nice catch!
Never bet against God.
You’ll lose..................
If the Blue states had required voter I.D. the margin of victory would be much larger.
I wonder if he added to his Trump wager during the Selzer Plunge. Do Selzer and The Whale have any connection?

I remember when I voted for the first time in ‘84 and even up until a few years ago; even blue Hawaii, where I live you had to have a picture ID to vote. Not sure if that is still the case.
From the Hawaii website.
All registered Hawaii voters will automatically receive a mail ballot before each election.
A copy of your ID is not required when you vote by mail, but the signature on your mail-in ballot must match your signature on file with the state.
If you choose to vote in person, you may be asked to provide current ID or recite personal information. See the page below for more details.

I don’t know how many Hawaiian residents vote by mail compared to doing it in person. I did find this article that says...
If current trends hold, in-person voting will amount to just a fraction of all voting, with voters clearly favoring mailing in or dropping off their ballots.

Who knows how strict they are about requiring you to show ID at the voting precinct and the overall state of voter integrity is at the moment.
Thank you for the info.
