'Doomed': Experts say this crucial campaign decision led to VP Harris' 'disastrous' defeat
Fox News ^ | 11/07/24 | Andrew Mark Miller

Vice President Kamala Harris’ failed presidential bid has political strategists second guessing many of her campaign choices, including her selection of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate.

"The choice of Walz was only one of many disastrous mistakes but symptomatic of one larger problem — the Democratic Party leadership is too scared to say no to the hard-left progressive wing of the party," Julian Epstein, longtime Democratic operative and former chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News Digital.

"This hard left opposes commonsense solutions that [Pennsylvania] Gov. [Josh] Shapiro supports — charter schools, for example. Or defeating terrorists rather than aping their talking points and positions, which allow them to stay in power and rearm for the next genocidal attack," Epstein continued. "It’s the hard-left progressive wing that looks first to welfare and redistribution rather than economic growth, and to cultural extremism on migration and gender deeply out of touch with the American electorate. Walz was a really bad choice for sure, but their choice was part of a deeper problem."

Rob Bluey, president and executive editor of The Daily Signal, told Fox News Digital that Walz being added to the ticket was a significant error in judgment.

"Historically, vice presidents have little impact on a presidential candidate’s fate," Bluey said. "But in the case of Tim Walz, it proved to be a disastrous decision that doomed Kamala Harris from the moment she made it. Not only was Walz ill-prepared for the national spotlight and media scrutiny, but Harris passed over several better options. Given how little Americans knew about Harris or her policy positions, they were right to question her judgment on this big decision."

Harris faced scrutiny even from some in her own party over her decision to name Walz, who many view...

Speaking of the $750, I thought it was so wonderful that NC still went for Trump, in spite of the RAT efforts to sabotage them with Helene. They tried to kill conservative southerners, or at least thwart their ability to vote — and they failed. So ha ha.

How long before the Obamas’ Kalorama house goes on the market?

Someone posted yesterday, that the Kenyan family were on a plane and getting out of Dodge, i.e., America. Don’t know if that’s true, though.

YEs. I would argue that Kamala lost because the American people KNOW exactly who she is.

Actually, I wish recognition of THAT ‘disastrous decision’ would have been at play when O’Bozo agreed to run with Joe on the ticket

None of this would have happened

Gov. Shapiro, however qualified, is Jewish and they could not anger that much of their coalition. It is that simple.

It's simple but not that. Governor Shapiro said no to the Harris campaign because he wasn't going down with that train wreck.

I think perhaps the most overlooked reason for Trump’s victory is the successful build-out of alternative media.
1. Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter was a key factor because he got rid of the liberal censorship and allowed Republicans to reach tens of millions of voters.
2. A second important example is Trump’s successful use of Joe Rogan’s podcast and similar vehicles to reach millions of people, especially younger voters.
3. A final example is Truth Social.

It is essential that the Republicans continue these efforts to build out the alternative media. The legacy media will never change their liberal bias.

I view that action, the “selection” of Harris and the ejection of Biden, as an underappreciated aspect of the terrible degradation of the American electoral process that it is.

We have been talking for years about how we only get to vote for who the parties choose for us (Trump not withstanding) to vote for.

But the Left simply took off the mask, and nakedly made the shift without even once blinking their eyes. They didn’t care that everyone and their dog saw what they did.

So. In the future, who is going to prevent them from simply choosing on their own who they will run; who they will allow us to vote for? The very definition of an oligarchy. Not to say the Republicans wouldn’t do it too.

And it is obvious that things can happen to a candidate in the primary process where they have to drop out of the race. But a selection by the party (the way they did it) is not the way I would think it should be done.

The primaries are a great test for candidates.

They have to talk to people all over the country including people who disagree with them.

They have to get up to speed on issues—the standard talking points plus new issues that come up on the campaign trail.

They have to survive nasty attacks by their primary opponents and scrutiny by an army of Internet sleuths even if the mass media refuses to do its job.

It is a great way to weed out clowns like Kamala.

In the case of Republicans it was a test of toughness—and back in 2015-2016 it was Donald Trump who proved he had the street smarts to get it done.

Three times.

Walz is a clown, of course.

But Harris is a clown also. She lost the race on her own. She can’t think on her feet, like Obummer has to have a teleprompter to make sense, is not likable, and her own record as a Senator was every bit as leftist as Walz.

Commiela was a failed candidate and even had she picked the loathsome Shapiro as VP running mate would have gone down in flames.

Democrats want figureheads in the White House, who just implement what the Cabal wants.

They almost pulled it off again.

Interesting demographics about Kalorama:

“ In Kalorama 82.90% of the population is White
In Kalorama 3.83% of the population is Black”

https://www.areavibes.com/washington-dc/kalorama/demographics/

He claims the whites are racists but moved to white areas. Another example Martha’s Vineyard.

What a hypocrite.

One Shapiro turned her down. Too, she was intimidated by Shapiro. She took waltz because he’s a total beta male that she could push around and she would look as a stronger liter compared to him. It was all ego based

I agree 100%. That is as it should be. In the case of Kamala Harris, they made their own bed, and got hoisted on their own petard.

It is the same mindset that they adopted for Kamala Harris’ selection, that rules the rest of their ideology.

The mindset that a small group of some “really smart people in a room somewhere” can decide the best candidate to install for the voters to select is the same mindset that they all possess, where they think that a small group of some “really smart people in a room somewhere” can decide how much of what kind of products to produce, how many of those products need to be sent where, and how much the company will be allowed to charge for them.

Then, every single time without fail, the “stupid” ones (they might be called “Useful Idiots” ) sit around dumbfounded when bad things happen.

They wonder why their instructions to some company to manufacture more poorly made shoes, to force the manufacturer to send them where they are told to send them, at prices they won’t be able to make a profit from, when carried out at the point of a gun, result in a shortage of the right types of shoes where they are needed, while the wrong kind of shoes sit unsold in moldy warehouses somewhere being damaged by water and eaten by rats.

Same with this.

The “Brain Trust” of the Democrat Party, composed of some “really smart people in a room somewhere” concluded that Joe Biden couldn’t win, and designated, with no consultation and no voter input, decided to simply install an absolute shallow, brainless wreck of a grifting, ladder-climbing, government slut into the process.

When the gamed system looks like it is going to fail to elevate her to the Presidency, they can’t understand why, and begin to look around for someone to shift the blame to other than themselves.

The downside to this is there isn’t someone in charge on their side (as tyrannical Leftists would usually have in the mold of Stalin or Mao) to simply have some peon bureaucrat saddled with the blame, and taken out back to be shot in the neck for not meeting the Five Year Plan while the inner Party Member gets off scot free.

Btw—and many Freepers don’t believe this—this is what is going to happen to all those companies that ordered their employees back to their cubicles.

Top down always fails—sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.

Bears Repeating!

TRUMP WON THREE TIMES!

TRUMP WON THREE TIMES!

TRUMP WON THREE TIMES!

And one more upside to saying that loud and long is to see the spittle come out on the lips of red-faced, bulging-eyed Leftists:

"But...but....he...he WON three times! The President is limited to two terms! Even his supporters say he won three times!"

Love it! Good times...good times...

+++++++++

Folks, if we didn’t win PA we would have lost. The blue wall set up was in place. MI (Wayne) and WI (Milwaukee) were holding back their results. Those two states managed to get their donkey senators wins even after the states were called for Trump.
