The Department of Justice is removing Jack Smith as special counsel and dropping his two federal investigations into President-Elect Donald Trump following Trump’s dominant win in Tuesday’s election.

Go hide out in the Hague.
I don't doubt your guess for a minute.
There are two possibilities:
1) The NY Court of Appeals will, either because it's correct or because it's in their interest, void the convictions and the process will end; OR
2) The judge will sentence citizen Trump to jail and he will be taken to Riker's Island where arrangements have been made to have him killed.
Ah, the sound of resumes flapping in the autumn wind is so delightful.
Success is the best revenge.
What is Merchan going to do about sentencing Trump ?
Good luck with option 2. The SCOTUS shoot that down.
“..As should Garland for the bogus and illegal appointment of Smith in the first place....”
Garland and Smith both need to be arrested and tried for election interference, then sentenced to life in prison at GITMO as Domestic Enemy Combatants.
These pardons will cause Rat Party Headquarters to go ballistic. "They don't need pardons! How dare you!" will be their refrain.
Somebody in the DOJ is worried about something. What could it possibly be?
From your keyboard to Trumps advisers eyes. And not just there. Gen. Millie should be escorted from the Pentagon at gunpoint. And Wray from the FBI building along with his minions that raided Mar-A-Lago and anybody that assassinated the airport director in Little Rock or was in charge of the Penn. rally security where he took a bullet. Time to clean house.

They are going to have to drop/dismiss everything, wipe their phones, smash their hard drives, and shred the evidence of their collusion against President Trump.
Interesting idea if DJT wants to pursue an investigation of their actions. My understanding that once pardoned they can't take the fifth, in Congress or a Court, as they face no jeopardy. Unless they refuse to testify or perjure themselves. I'm open to correction on that.

The pardoning process has guidelines. We need to know what they are.

For DOJ to announce this the day after the election is very suspect. They’re setting up some kind of ambush.
A lot of pedo joes pardons involved drugs. Hunter’s influence and payoff?
It would be like when Sonny locks the pub door in A Bronx Tale.
"There. Now you's can't leave."
Exactly. They want Jack Smith back in Europe where the new administration will have a hard time subpeoning him.
According to Mark Levin DOJ will have those cases removed to federal court and then dismiss them. Mark Levin wrote a well founded article yesterday very much laying out why local prosecutors cannot prosecute a president.
Those cases are over. It’s very likely that the New York Court of Appeals will dismiss the entire travesty. So Trump may allow that, but there will be no Merchan sentencing him.
Such cases need to be dropped with prejudice, otherwise this is meaningless.
Dropping with prejudice means that the case can never be re-opened under any circumstances — like in 2029 when he leaves office.
