Not sure this is always good. There are times (wartime) when borrowing money is necessary.

Balanced Budget Amendment!

I thought the same thing this morning.
I would probably wait until after the first year, but I would try to get it done before the mid-terms and the possibility of losing the house and/or the senate.

However, it could still be a difficult battle. An amendment requires 2/3 majority and state ratification

I know it’s way down on the list but I hope all public money is withheld from our major universities as long as they continue to spew their Marxist rhetoric. They can, of course, continue to do so, just not on the tax payers’ $.

Trump’s greatest legacy will be to end and win the war this nation declared against him in 2015/16..

That can’t happen again.
Ever.
Enemies domestic in places like the FBI (as an example) deserves carpet bombing, symbolically speaking,on inauguration day

It better not take 4 years to end that war..

You need 2/3’s of Congress to propose an amendment. To get that done restart the effort for a Convention of States Balanced Budget Amendment. It’s already close. As it closes in on the magic 34 Congress will come up with a version of its own. None of the usual Chicken Littles need to worry about that Convention actually happening.

Problem is they always load the spending first then raising taxes to “balance” the budget.

Elon Musk reduced Twitter staff by 80% and made it better.

I understand that Trump is bringing in the Elon team to dismantle un-Constitutional government and downsize drastically, possibly relocating the remaining bits into flyover country.

cut the budget for each and every government agency by 3% per year for ten years. it won’t work if there are any sacred cows, so every agency, even the military needs to be involved.
it shrinks government, forces them to deal with waste, and forces prioritizing of resources.

and since government shrinks, the economy grows at the same time.

Not just a Balanced Budget Amendment....

To TRULY go down in history as a Top 3 Greatest of all Time, he needs to use his negotiation skills to get enough Dems on board with the BIG ISSUES that 75+% of ALL Americans agree upon, and get ALL of these done in a single Constitutional Convention...

An Amendment for a Balanced Budget.
An Amendment for requiring Citizenship and ID to vote.
An Amendment for SINGLE ISSUE BILLS and allowing the LINE ITEM VETO.
An Amendment requiring that there be NO Exceptions for Congress from ANY Law that they author.
An Amendment requiring that any increases to Congressional salaries and budgets be limited to be 1% less than the growth of the GDP.
An Amendment requiring that ALL Congresspersons and their staff be subjected to ANNUAL IRS AUDITS.
An Amendment reversing the 16th Amendment, and once again forbidding taxes based on income.
An Amendment reversing the 17th Amendment, making Senators the protectors of State powers and authorities once again, to be elected and appointed by public officials only.
An Amendment defining the number of Supreme Court Justices, once and for all.

Do THOSE, and he might even move into 2nd place behind only Washington.
