Best Possible Trump Legacy

Posted on 11/06/2024 12:22:04 PM PST by The-Paperboy

The best possible Trump legacy would be a bulletproof balanced budget amendment. Talk about killing inflation, that’s the way. How do we let Trump, Vance and Musk know?

That won’t and shouldn’t happen.

Abolishing the IRS and implementing the Fair Tax would be a great legacy.

You need 2/3’s of Congress to propose an amendment. To get that done restart the effort for a Convention of States Balanced Budget Amendment. It’s already close. As it closes in on the magic 34 Congress will come up with a version of its own. None of the usual Chicken Littles need to worry about that Convention actually happening.

Problem is they always load the spending first then raising taxes to “balance” the budget.

Elon Musk reduced Twitter staff by 80% and made it better.

I understand that Trump is bringing in the Elon team to dismantle un-Constitutional government and downsize drastically, possibly relocating the remaining bits into flyover country.

cut the budget for each and every government agency by 3% per year for ten years. it won’t work if there are any sacred cows, so every agency, even the military needs to be involved.
it shrinks government, forces them to deal with waste, and forces prioritizing of resources.

and since government shrinks, the economy grows at the same time.

Privatize Soc Sec and Medicare

~~~
Do you remember that whole debate between gore and bush about a social security “lock box”?
It seemed like a joke at the time. At least a lot of people were mocking it.
Even if they had made it so that 10% of it was yours to invest, it probably would have doubled by now.
Not just a Balanced Budget Amendment....
To TRULY go down in history as a Top 3 Greatest of all Time, he needs to use his negotiation skills to get enough Dems on board with the BIG ISSUES that 75+% of ALL Americans agree upon, and get ALL of these done in a single Constitutional Convention...
An Amendment for a Balanced Budget.
An Amendment for requiring Citizenship and ID to vote.
An Amendment for SINGLE ISSUE BILLS and allowing the LINE ITEM VETO.
An Amendment requiring that there be NO Exceptions for Congress from ANY Law that they author.
An Amendment requiring that any increases to Congressional salaries and budgets be limited to be 1% less than the growth of the GDP.
An Amendment requiring that ALL Congresspersons and their staff be subjected to ANNUAL IRS AUDITS.
An Amendment reversing the 16th Amendment, and once again forbidding taxes based on income.
An Amendment reversing the 17th Amendment, making Senators the protectors of State powers and authorities once again, to be elected and appointed by public officials only.
An Amendment defining the number of Supreme Court Justices, once and for all.
Do THOSE, and he might even move into 2nd place behind only Washington.
I forgot...
An Amendment for TERM LIMITS, preferably limiting any politician to a maximum of 20 years total in federal office.
If you can't get it done in 20 years, then you can't get it done. Move on Charlie.
This was my initial list from early this morning.
How to 'spend' the mandate. Balance the federal government budget and pay back the debt. Shut these down, now. No need to wait. It is a mandate.
Department of Education
Federal Reserve
Internal Revenue Service
Departement of Energy
Environmental Protection Agency
Term limits are more important because the decades of incumbency cause corruption.
Eliminate the payroll deduction of taxes...
Everyone has to pay their taxes to the government on April 15...
That is the only way that American politicians, Republican and Communist, be brought under financial control...
After all, WWII has ended, so the “temporary” payroll withholding must also end...
The Constitution grants a very short list of powers to the central government and no others. Note the Ninth and Tenth Amendments. But the federal behemoth has slipped so far from those bounds that we can no longer control it.
For example, where in the Constitution does it allow the feds to outlaw 100-watt light bulbs? Or leaded gasoline? The list of what they control is endless.
So, form up Elon Musk’s review committee. Review everything federal. If they plead “secrecy” call in the Donald to review it. Otherwise, start slashing. Any “agency” formed by Congress should go. Turn that 6-foot stack of federal lawbooks into six inches.
A couple of others:
1. Define natural born citizen
2. Stop allowing babies born here to people who are not either US citizens (one parent) or permanent residents (both parents) to be US citizens; strict rules regarding passing on of US citizenship to people overseas.
