From the earliest days of human civilization, the hammer has been an important tool, aiding in tasks from the simplest household repairs to the most complex construction projects. Its origins date back to prehistoric times when early humans used stones as rudimentary hammers for tasks like cracking nuts and shaping tools.

Is that photoshopped? What is that from?
That’s the original multi-tool.
So a bag of hammers isn’t that dumb after all!
I think I was 17 when I worked on the crew that built a bridge across the Vermillion river up there. Tied a lot of rebar in the bridge deck for a few days. Then I sawed 2 by fours about 3’ long and drove a lot of 16 penny nails across the rails. My friend and co-worker who was a lot better finish carpenter than I was, nailed the top molding into place, name was RayGene. I used my Dad’s old Craftsman claw hammer, solid piece of steel and had leather rings on the handle. I should get back there and see what it looks like. There was a really big elm tree on the east side of the river we would eat our lunches under. It was a hot summer, the shade was nice.

What post number are you asking if it’s photoshopped?
#6 - The African American man in the toolbox.
Ah, a pistol hammer!
The picture of him coming out of a toolbox was part of an ad he was in for 3M Command brand strips that are an alternative to putting nails in walls.
Here's a link to an overview of the ad:

Oh cool, thanks so much.
A crescent is a hammer even without that head. lol
I don’t think I have ever seen one that wasn’t beat up from being used as a hammer because it was closer at the time...
I have one my machinist grandpa made himself back in the 60’s.
I have seen welders just weld a head/face onto them. :)
This is the saying attributed to Maslow (key word bolded):
“If the ONLY tool you have is a hammer,Fixed it.
you tend to see every problem as a nail.”
What I learned fifty years ago from a master machinist who learned his trade on a mother ship supporting submarine repairs in WWII was this, and it is true:
"If the nail is the problem, don't force it.
Get a bigger hammer."
OK, that’s GOOD, but good luck finding a picture of Grabthar’s hammer.
Well, sure. It’s a Crescent hammer.
But is it a left-hand calibrated metric Crescent hammer?
