Barbara Pierce Bush, the daughter of former President George W. Bush, is backing Kamala Harris and even canvassing for her in a battleground state.
Bush campaigned over the weekend in battleground Pennsylvania, one of the most closely contested states and the most likely in many computer models to determine the winner.
'It was inspiring to join friends and meet voters with the Harris-campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend, she told People. 'I’m hopeful they'll move our country forward and protect women’s rights,' added Bush, 42.
It was a low key gesture, but nevertheless made her the latest person identified with the pre-Trump Republican Party to throw her support to the Democratic candidate.
The activist not a stranger to campaigning, although she keeps a low public profile. She spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2004 and campaigned for her dad's reelection in swing states.

I was surprised at the amount of Neocons that populate FR.
My low point was yesterday when I voted for Larry Hogan as Senator.
He’s going to lose anyway.
The elites are a fraternity. The beautiful people from high school, with streaks of gray.
Dummy for the dummy, never any doubt.
After the election of President Trump, Barbara Pierce Bush can be consigned to the Phantom Zone of political relevance with the rest of her RINOcrat ilk.
RINO’s gonna RINO.
My 100% dead, ground state voting voltage is an equivalency:
2004 = 2008 = 2012
Bush2 = McCain = Romney
And to think at the time I actually thought I was doing something to help the country. My, oh my, have I been taught a lesson.
I can never thank PDJT enough for helping me understand that the scum is truly on both sides of the aisle. Some scum is worse that others, but scum none the less.
Nothing screams I’m an idiot any more clearly than saying “I’m voting for Kamala.” You really DO have to be that ill informed or stupid.
THE UNIPARTY STICKS TOGETHER.
“’I’m hopeful they’ll move our country forward and protect women’s rights,’ added Bush, 42.”
“Forward” was Obama’s slogan.
She is not concerned about men’s rights. What a sexist. She really isn’t concerned about men playing in women’s sports either. Maybe it is all about aborting black babies since they are disproportionally aborted. So perhaps she is a racist as well.
Bush women are more likable when they’re running stop signs and killing their boyfriends.
A vote for Kamala is a vote for the establishment, as she is no more than a puppet whose strings are being pulled by people behind the scene as she doesn’t have the intelligence to run a popcorn stand if her life depended on it! Apparently anyone voting for her must be happy and satisfied how thing are moving along and don’t want any changes. So corruption and poor management continues unabated.
Reality dawned for me when it took 30 days, a 3-stage funeral ceremony and an interminably long train ride to cut the strings on a one-world government puppet. At least Jeb was there to let him down one more time.
All about killing unwanted children.
That’s her reason.
You never had a choice since Ronald Reagan. That’s the game the Democrats and Republicans have played. I supported McCain simply because he had a populist, Vice President, running mate. But McCain was just as pro immigration as Obama.. same as Bush.
I suppose Babs will be writing a book about her voting experience and going over to Marxism.
The greatest thing President Trump has accomplished is to show the American people how phony, anti-American and leftist the Washington establishment and the Republican establishment is.
Keep showing your true colors. The Bushes betrayed us.
I voted for both Bushes 4 times. The only good thing about it was Dukakis, Gore and Kerry did not become President.
Considering that the alternatives were Clinton, Gore and Kerry, what choice did you have? Picking up your football and going home in a snit?
Nobody cares
No one is surprised and no one cares
Her mother is a pro abortion deep stater
No one cares
