Former President Trump sat with Joe Rogan Friday (snip)
Here are five takeaways from the interview.
[1] Trump and Rogan hit it off
Rogan has previously said he is not a Trump supporter and in 2022 indicated he would not be interested in having the former president on the show. But the two appeared extremely comfortable with one another Friday, trading compliments and discussing their shared love of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events.
“You cannot be voting for Kamala. You’re not a Kamala person. I know you. I’ve watched you,”

[3] Podcast underscores Trump appeal to young voters

“So I have a son who’s very smart, and tall, Barron. And he knows all about you,” Trump said. “He knows about guys I never heard of…it’s a whole new world out there. But you know, I’m on TikTok now. And I’ve done really well.”
(snip)
“I think young people are rejecting a lot of this woke bullshit. Young people are tired of being yelled at and scolded,” Rogan said.
“They’re tired of these people that they think are mentally ill telling them what they think the moral standards of society should be today…You wanna be a rebel? You wanna be punk rock? You wanna, like, buck the system? You’re a conservative now,” he added.

[4] Rogan gives Trump time to air election fraud claims
(snip)
“How do you think you were robbed? Everybody always cuts you off,” Rogan said.
“What I’d rather do is –we’ll do it another time. I would bring in papers that you would not believe. That election was so crooked,” Trump said,

“They used COVID to cheat,” Trump said.

So all in all it was a net positive?
It was a great interview, just a good, honest, conversation between them. Donald does so well in these types of interviews, when the interviewer is fair and just asks honest questions and listens. It’s a great back and forth.
Couple of guys talking about MMA.
From the parts I heard (not all of it) the President looked relaxed and did a great job.
The most hilarious part of the interview was when Rogan cut off the President when the President started to talk about Mars.
It sounded like President Trump knows some stuff we do not—but Rogan refused to let him talk about it.
I watched about the first 2/3 last night. I don’t think it could have gone better. Anyone tuning in saw no connection between the calm, thoughtful man being interviewed with the deranged, power mad nihilist the Dems are portraying him as.
Another editorial / opinion piece disguised as a news article. Pass.
I have watched about half of it, but I found it interesting Rogan would call Trump back to the question asked, but it wasn’t because Trump was evading, his mind was just going in a different direction, he ultimately gave genuine answers to everything asked. No way the tard could to that.
good conversation all the way around. honesty at the forefront. saw the whole interview in real time. not sped up and skipped like i usually do.
funny, it was Rogan that impressed me. he was smart and informed about many many topics.
If Kamala had been on, she would say something like, what has not been is been today I will try to bring to bring the has been back to the not has been.
Her handlers would have been surrounding them, making wild hand gestures, coaching her, holding up cue cards and then abruptly ending the interview after 20 minutes when the idiot babbled herself into an incoherent oblivion.
First hour has been glorious. Better than the current stump speech, maybe as good as that March 2016 AIPAC speech.
They have agreed on "Back The Blue", "No Tax For Tips", punched down on the insanity of giving some Honduran freak who just walked across the border a free sex change, the success of tariffs as a cudgel, looking into getting rid of the income tax (discussed as a response to the US pressured into removing tariffs at the turn of the previous century), discussing that this is exactly what China does today, their shared bromance with Elon Musk.
What's not to like?
Funny (to me) I just tuned in to the YT broadcast a minute before I found this thread. I got 2 hours 49 minutes left to watch. Then I’ll go watch the Dodgers beat the Yankees at my neighbors house.
Rogan bailed out Trump when he started to praise Robert E. Lee.
Over 16 million views on youtube so far.
Yes. Over 16,000,000.
It’s the shortest 3 hours in history. I enjoyed every minute of it, it was like having two very smart dinner guests sitting around in your living room discussing world affairs.
Trump was correct in his assessment of Lee.
The above excerpt was reasonable.
I know young people - and this is true. The new 'rebel' is conservative...
Winning votes is more important than winning arguments.
