1924 Democrat Convention at Madison Square Garden refused Catholic Al Smith, and supported the KKK (Vanity)

Hillary and others are saying Trump's scheduled rally at Madison Square Garden is reminiscent of the 1939 American Nazi Bund rally there. If we are speaking of Madison Square garden rallies, we should remember to include the 1924 Democrat party rally. It is shockingly similar to things happening today. The Democrats anti-Catholic bigotry had them pass over Al Smith as the nominee. There was also an attempt to put an anti-KKK plank in the platform, condemning KKK violence. It was soundly defeated.

In 1924, the DNC convention at Madison Square Garden gave the finger to Al Smith because he was Catholic. They also embraced the path of violence and racism, by defeating an anti-KKK plank. Today Kamala still had disdain for Al Smith and the Catholics (and all Christians). She still supports violence in the name of racism. I hope this point about the 1924 Democrat convention gets to Trump so he can mention this sordid history in his speech.

That was the peak of the power of the new KKK. It had a big presence in the midwest and elsewhere in the north, with people concerned about immigrants, Catholics, and blacks who moved north.

The KKK was a big power backing McAdoo and the northern political machines were backing Smith, an Irish Catholic from NYC. There were a zillion ballots. They then needed 2/3 to nominate. Finally, they decided on an unknown compromise candidate, who lost badly.

I don’t see it has much to do with the current Democratic Party. The Democratic Party was simpathetic to the south in the Civil War and opposed to Reconstruction.

I remember when JFK was competing for the Presidental nomination and he was receiving a lot of DemonRAT hate for being a Catholic. Being young and having Catholic friends I thought that was really strange. But now I understand that DemonRATs must have something to hate to justify all the evil they do and have done. I mean, have they ever apologized for slavery, the Civil War, the KKK, segregation, Jim Crow etc.?

It has everything to do with the modern Democratic Party. Kamala refused to go to the Al Smith Charity Dinner and released a skit mocking Catholics.
Kamala raised legal defense funds for racist mobs using violence in the George Floyd riots.
She and her party have no problem with racial violence as long as it is anti-white. They have expanded their anti Catholic hate to hate for all Christianity.

Factions and targets adjust, but the Democrat party had a convention there that was a monument to their bigotry against some Christians and races, and they supported mob violence. The parallels to today are obvious for all to see.

There are NO parallels between Trump and the 1939 nazi bund rally.

Never have. They are the party of bigotry, violence and hate. They adjust the targets as needed, but they always stand for anything against the American ideals of the Founding Fathers.
Another anti-Catholic parallel in this election was Whitmer and her bizarre blasphemous “Dorito communion” video.

Well, well… right on time with this one.

Why am I not surprised?

OMG you’re right!!

I forgot about that horrific skit.

It’s like they’re begging to lose.

“That was the peak of the power of the new KKK. It had a big presence in the midwest and elsewhere in the north, with people concerned about immigrants, Catholics, and blacks who moved north.”

It’s a fascinating period. What a lot of people don’t understand is that the KKK revival of the 1920s was basically what would now be seen a multi-level marketing scheme. The portrayal of the KKK in the 1915 movie “Birth of a Nation” has created an interest in what was a defunct group, and some clever people had the idea of recreating the klan, collecting dues, and selling them magazines, uniforms, etc. They were wildly successful for a couple decades before petering out, and have captured the public imagination in a disproportionate way ever since.

That’s why I think they were founded by the Tories who stayed in order to keep their slaves Black, Red and White.

JFTR, the second MSG, where this rally took place, was located at 26th and Madison.
