RethinkX reveals the shocking exponential growth of battery storage worldwide
Well AI, Robotics, EV's are an obvious initial answer.
I didn’t list this as an “extract” because it’s a “summary” not an extract. And the summary covers the entire video, but doesn’t convey all of the detail information in the video.
“By 2030, it will be possible and affordable to meet 100% of global electricity demand through solar, wind, and batteries,...”
That statement is total Bull Sh!t!
What a pant load of BS.
I agree with you. No way we are going to replace nuclear plants with solar. In fact, we need more nuclear.
Energy demand is soaring exponentially as well as storage.
But the world is changing. And grid level batteruy storage is a major change.
I wonder if this will make the grid less or more vulnearble to EMPs.
“That statement is total Bull Sh!t!”
No kidding.
Plus the “green marke growth” is 100% due to government mandates. It would barely exist without the government without the ordering it. It’s a phony market. “Green” energy will drive massive inflation and destroy US global competitiveness.
“The U.S. is increasing investment in battery production, with new policies like the Inflation Reduction Act helping challenge China’s dominance.”
This is a dead giveaway, that this article is crap. The Inflation Reduction act was a total farce .
Solar Energy is the Most Expensive Form of Energy. Every night.
BESS = Battery Energy Storage System.
Battery energy storage in the United States to hit 140 GW by 2030?
Better for every home to have one of these, and also one in your electric vehicle, AI will demand it:
Fire not the only danger with lithium-ion batteries
Hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen cyanide, hydrogen chloride, sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane.
By 2030, it will be possible and affordable to meet 100% of global electricity demand through solar, wind, and batteries, especially in regions like the U.S.“
What an absolute crock. The writer is either an absolute idiot, or he’s nothing but a disingenuous propaganda pusher for the great reset crowd.
Ping
He does talk briefly about the improving saftey profile as well as alternate battery technologies coming online.
Not sure where, probably the 17:00 mark.
At this point in time I think we would be better off powering with natural gas... we have a LOT of it and it is pretty clean.
Solar is coming down in price and solar tech is getting better every day... in 20 years or so a lot of energy needs could be met with solar.. better storage/batteries is the real pressing need and it will come.
Nuclear power will be needed to power our ever growing IT infrastructure....
Electric cars are impractical at present for general use but again it is the battery tech that holds it back.. who wants a car likely to burst into flame? Also, we have no where near the electrical grid we would need for massive car charging.
The really nice thing about solar is you get to build TWO power plants whereas you only had to build one before.
#1. The solar plant good for 10 am to 6 pm
#2. The battery plant to hopefully get you through the night and a days-long cloudy stretch.
It’s genius, I tell you! At least for the scammers.
Solar and batteries are good only decentralized and even then, only in good situations for it. I have solar and batteries for my home in large part because I have a healthy distrust for government and all of the energy policies they push with their warmageddon cult. Hence, with solar providing over 80% of our power, the energy portion of our budget is less susceptible to the Dims' whims.
I'm one of the very few who 1) live in a good climate for solar (in the south), AND 2) have energy consumption habits good for solar (most energy consumption is in the day), AND 3) did an insane amount of homework and math on how much solar to invest in, but not too much (take advantage of economies of scale, but not fight the law of diminishing returns). No one should even think about solar unless all 3 of those characteristics apply to you. (On the flip side, no freedom loving American in the south should automatically diss solar just because the Dims push it at the grid level -- it may be that you're one of the few for which solar is a good option to provide most of your power.)
“I think there is a world market for maybe five computers.”

Complete BS. Shockingly ignorant, lying, or both. Cannot be done without a significant drop in energy use, and thus living standards.
I think both is the most likely. Either/or is so limiting. Both/and.
