As Vice President Kamala Harris vows to crack down on illegal immigration at the nation’s southern border, she has played up her experience as California’s attorney general pursuing criminal groups that traffic drugs, guns and people across the United States and Mexico.
“I was the top law enforcement officer of the biggest state of the country, California — that is also a border state,” she said on Thursday at a town hall in Nevada. “I took on transnational criminal organizations.”
Ms. Harris’s surrogates and allies say her push on transnational crime sheds light on how she might address challenges at the border. The issue is at the forefront of voters’ concerns after illegal border crossings surged during President Biden’s first years in office, and as former President Donald J. Trump and his allies fuel falsehoods about immigrant gangs and conflate immigration with crime.
Now, her record prosecuting cross-border crime is being scrutinized by Democrats and social justice activists and distorted by Republicans. And some of the tactics she had embraced she is no longer willing to say she supports. Here is what she did as California’s attorney general, why it matters and why it could have implications should she win in November.
A shift in strategy
Ms. Harris made tackling transnational crime a priority in her campaign for attorney general of California in 2010 and during her six years in the role.
From the beginning, she sought to change how law enforcement agencies would combat criminal activity along interstate corridors. She brought together federal officials and state attorneys general to strategize, and convened multiagency task forces to work with counterparts in Mexico and across Latin America. They...

Isn't illegal immigration a "cross-border crime?"
Asking for a friend.

She cares more about cross dressing men.

Almost as hilarious as her glock comment “I have a background in law enforcement”. Tiny stretch?

She keeps talking about what she did as attorney general of California, but never talks about her achievements as senator or as vice president.
To listen to her , you wouldn’t know she was ever a senator or that she’s currently vice president.
And she talks a lot how she grew up as a middle class kid.

so kamala’s open border policy
was to drum up business?

Isn't illegal immigration a "cross-border crime?"I believe it is, and in the war on cross border crime, she is a conscientious objector. 😂

Produce the cases she has personally tried. The ones she argued in court.

I thought the headline was from the Babylon Bee when I first read it. Crime fighting and the border, being touted as two of Harris’s strongpoints. Regular folks in middle America are going to buy into that!

It’s a pilot program to end cross-border crime by bringing criminals here. That’s been very promising, and the second phase would involve border reduction.

Did Harris enumerate her successes fighting cross-border crime? Seems like this increase substantially during her time as Califirnia AG.
I’d love to see some facts and figures for her alleged achievements versus what others did before and after her term.

All I know is the Democrats stole the 2020 Election and are in the process of stealing the 2024 Election, too. The specific Democrat pResidential & Vice pResidential nominees are totally irrelevant because Democrat power-brokers (Barry Soetoro, Pelosi, Bill & Hillary) take care of everything for them. The only thing the two Democrat nominees have to do is constantly say idiotic, absurd stuff, and the Democrat power-brokers will get them into the White House.
The Democrat Party has a large number of subsidiaries:
- Mainstream Media (TV, magazines, cable, newpapers, etc.)
- Major corporate CEOs (they all excitedly promoted violent BLM/Antifa on their homepages during the 2020 Election year)
- Academia
- DNC-managed violent Black Lives Matter/Antifa wild thug mob riot organization. As violent BLM/Antifa created nationwide chaos in 2020, all Democrat politicians yelled, "Voters, if you don't want all this Trump Administration 'chaos,' Vote Potato46/Laughing Hyena!"
- Social Media (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, etc.). Social Media censored President Trump (while constantly promoting Potato46/Laughing Hyena).
- Pro Sports Leagues: All pro sports leagues eagerly promoted the DNC-directed violent BLM/Antifa riot organization throughout the 2020 Election year, putting the BLM logo on playing fields and on huge stadium banners. All pro sports leagues also played the so-called "black national anthem" to compete against our actual National Anthem. Many pro players, influenced by far-left pro team owners, stood for the so-called "black national anthem" but walked off the field during our actual National Anthem.
- Hollyweird (movies, TV, streaming, etc.)
Those are just the subsidiaries that immediately come to mind. I'm sure some folks will add more to the list.
