While Kamala Harris’s numbers are starting to come back to earth after a disastrous vice presidential debate, things have never looked better for the Californian’s campaign. As much as people have come to rely on the ebbs and flows of public opinion, longtime strategists know that there’s a better predictor of how Democrats will do — and that’s the evangelical vote. Or, as the 2024 numbers warn, the lack thereof.
According to some truly shocking statistics from George Barna at Arizona Christian University (ACU), as many as 41 million Christians plan to sit this election out — more than enough to hand the country’s keys to the eager and radical Left.

—> And why would any Christian refuse to do anything that they could to rescue people being trafficked and killed to feed Satan’s beasts, the corrupt religion and corrupt government?
Lots of ways to do this directly.
—> Voting is easy. Why refuse?
Apparently, 41 million people have reasons…?
—> The word abortion isn’t in scripture either but Thou shalt not murder addresses it.
This is a command that applies to all murder.
Voting is never commanded. The principles brought up are opinions, which are fine, but not binding on others.
Best.
Stopping at a stop light is never commanded either. So does God consider it non-binding?
How are you personally stopping the Cia from drugging politicians, taping them raping children, and extorting them? How are you personally, in Christian love, serving those exploited people?
Lie fake.
This is where the 41 million votes will be faked stolen. It’s a cover story.
—> Stopping at a stop light is never commanded either. So does God consider it non-binding?
Read Romans 13 again and obey what it says.
I consider your question something of a biblical fallacy.
God doesn’t call every believer to devote their life to all ministries.
He gives some great honor who He gifted to do the simplest of tasks, as Scripture says.
You can also support political activities by giving and not just voting.
Original point remains, believers are not commanded to vote.
Most of of us do.
But what would be in the heart of a person who refuses to do the one worldly thing that could help so many people? To not love your neighbor as yourself is sin. If you do it because you are too “holy” to taint yourself with “politics” then how can you say you serve the One who left Heaven to crawl the muck with us to redeem us? Are Christians holier than Christ Himself, or do some Christians
have a warped view of what “holy” means?
You also didn’t answer my question. Biblical principles apply even to things that weren’t mentioned in scripture. Porn was never mentioned in the Bible but it still speaks to it. No matter how much you call it a biblical fallacy.
I don’t understand what you’re trying to say to me.
—> Porn was never mentioned in the Bible
It is in Greek.
I don’t have my husband’s Greek New Testament any more; I gave it to a young pastor after my husband passed away. Let’s use a different word: fentanyl. It’s not in the Bible. But the principle of “do not get drunk with wine for that is debauchery” applies. In the same way rendering toCeasar doesn’t necessarily just mean taxes.
But even beyond that, sin is a matter of what is in the heart and if it proceeds from love. I cannot understand any loving reason to withhold at least the most basic level of diligence in being the check and balance needed to maintain God’s gift of freedom to our fellow man.
—> But what would be in the heart of a person who refuses to do the one worldly thing that could help so many people?
Only God will ever know that.
We can leavdd we it in His hands.
Just that we are commanded to obey the government - unless it requires us to disobey God to do so.
Let me just say this. Somebody posted that a caller to Glenn Beck said they don’t vote because they trust that God has everything under control and they don’t want to stain themselves by “politics”.
To that I say that God can take care of things without our paying taxes too but we are still told to pay taxes. Why do anything since God will take care of everything? Martin Luther said we trust God to provide our needs but that doesn’t mean we stand around waiting for a bowl of chicken soup to float into our mouths. We’ve been given things to do and we ate NOT called to be “holier” than the One who got into the arena to do battle on our behalf. We are not called to be so heavenly minded that we’re no earthly good. We are called Tobe salt and light not a big clump of salt in the shaker serving nobody. There are children being traded as sex slaves until they are so broken they can only be murdered and sold for parts. Yet you’re going to piously keep yourself from doing a dang thing to stop it and even boast how Christlike you are? I’m sorry dudes who say that. You don’t even KNOW the Christ of Scripture.
“More of the Left’s crap...”
I tend to agree. Steve Turley had a good observation when asked about this, saying, to paraphrase; “An act of God saved Donald Trump and many people of faith are acutely aware of that.”
Absolutely.
What God calls people to do to serve Him, is no one else’s business.
I’ve heard many explanations about not voting.
Often it doesn’t matter, but years like this one you can argue it does matter.
… Though no potus has ever won my state election by one votes…
So maybe it doesn’t matter.
Some don’t want to be on jury duty.
Some hate politics.
I’m sure there are many reasons.
For each person it’s not really about whether it makes a difference. When 41 million all choose to ignore a very simple thing they could do to save innocent children it’s an issue of the reasons why. The priest and Levite had many reasons to ignore the Samaritan but Jesus used that story with a lawyer who was trying to make excuses for why he didn’t love his neighbor as himself. He wanted to say the people he ignored were not his neighbors. But Jesus said to do as the Samaritan who helped because nothing keeps another person from being your neighbor.
Hating politics is not a valid reason to walk right past the trafficked children and kid yourself that you are still being a loving neighbor to them. Especially when simply voting may realistically be the ONLY way any of us can help. Apathy is not love. The Christian community is supposed to be known for its love. But 41 million Christians ate effectively saying to the world, “I don’t care enough about the crimes my tax dollars are paying for to even vote.”
God said that if His people would repent He would heal their land. 41 million Christians are instead hardening their hearts and flipping the bird at God instead.
