While Kamala Harris’s numbers are starting to come back to earth after a disastrous vice presidential debate, things have never looked better for the Californian’s campaign. As much as people have come to rely on the ebbs and flows of public opinion, longtime strategists know that there’s a better predictor of how Democrats will do — and that’s the evangelical vote. Or, as the 2024 numbers warn, the lack thereof.
According to some truly shocking statistics from George Barna at Arizona Christian University (ACU), as many as 41 million Christians plan to sit this election out — more than enough to hand the country’s keys to the eager and radical Left.

More of the Left’s crap
Misinformation.
“Render unto Caesar” wasn’t merely a suggestion. Voting is a duty to the country and ruling authorities. Separation of church and state isn’t part of the scriptures.
EXACTLY!
BS
‘You need to repent’ for not voting?? The author of this article is a loathsome human being.
—> Voting is a duty to the country and ruling authorities.
Maybe. It never appears as a command nor instruction to vote.
Well if they don’t vote, they don’t vote for HER.
That's NOT very Christian!
I think these Christians need to read their Bible. God works His wil through fallible, sinful human beings. If horrible character traits in a candidate is what is keeping these Christians home, then they better wise up or they stand to lose their freedom of religion!
Think this post is drastic? Did you ever believe you would live to witness speech censored? Its happening. Did you ever think you would live to see young children receive gender reassignment surgery? Its happening. Did you ever think you’d live to see the Christian faith openly mocked at the opening ceremony of the Olympics? It happened.
That cocoon these Christians are living in isn’t very secure. They better wake up.
All the people trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ I know are voting.
lemme get this straight, because they are Evangelical Christians, 40+ million voters will vote for Satan’s Demons, by default?
Naaa, that smell is from all the gaslighting. mostly flatulent blue flamers.
It’s also not a specific command to obey the laws of the land, to defend the land, or to pay taxes (which was the particular context). But it is all of this and more — which is entirely consistent with the whole of scripture: Israel’s exiles were told to live their lives in Babylon, to marry, have children, and to serve their rulers... so long as those commands did not violate God’s laws.
Certainly, if Christians were to avoid the ability to vote all together, it’s quite arguable that only those opposed to us would be in charge at every level. So even if there wasn’t a scriptural imperative (and I think that exists), it’s certainly in the best interests of Christians to vote, to participate in the process, and to even run for office.
Oh BS.
“If horrible character traits in a candidate is what is keeping these Christians home....”
Alternatively, according to a Christian family member of mine, if republicans want to represent Christians, they should nominate someone who lives a Christian life and values.
Barna is the real deal on polling Evangelicals for a whole lot of things not even related to politics. Evangelicals aren't going to vote for Harris, but will they vote at all? That is what the article is about. I would say that Trump's chances go down if apathy is a thing with Evangelicals. I don't see a lot of enthusiasm personally, but I don't see apathy either. But that is a very small slice of sample.
Why would Evangelicals be apathetic? A lot of MAGA people don't realize how tiring and inexplicable Trump's antics are to some Evangelicals, and the weariness politics brings in general. So simply put, political fatigue could keep some Evangelicals home on election day. I could have put Trump fatigue, but that maybe points too directly at Trump and not the process.
I'm not sure what this comment is based on. Did you read the article? Anyway, repenting in the context of the article is to change one's mind about not voting. The action of repentance in this instance would be to vote. I think you are thinking that the author is saying "vote or go to hell" or something, and he clearly is not.
