How did they miss Tyler Chicken? That alcoholic chicken of theirs goes well with their wings.
Popeye’s is the first one in my area. Half of the list is hours away from me at best.
I don’t eat a lot of chicken wings, but yesterday, I had some at I Got My Sound, a Korean chicken shack in Fullerton, Calif. This may not be for everyone, especially those who like mild, subtle flavors and eschew bold cuisines that get in your face. These wings are flavored with Szechuan peppercorns, which are not related to black peppercorns but are from a variety of ash tree that grows in the foothills of the Himalayas. They are very spicy and cause your lips and tongue to become somewhat numb, but they are loaded with antioxidants.
I will be going back.
He rates battered and fried chicken against naked wings, without their sauce. The fried chicken flavor is in the batter; it is not naked chicken.
14. Buffalo Wild wings? They went in the trash. Fried like shoe leather.
12. Domino’s...they were really good. Not crispy but tender and juicy.
11. Checkers? They also went in the trash. Tasted like too much MSG.
6. Popeyes freshly cooked ghost pepper wings???? The bomb!
5. Wing stop? Sucks. Good fresh cut fries though.
The others I cannot comment.
“Popeye’s is the first one in my area. “
The Popeye’s in Louisiana are better than the others.
Wings, along with the backbone, neck and feet belong in a stockpot to make delicious bone broth.
(The above is the opinion of the poster who has started no franchises but can make a chicken soup that cures most ills)
Korean wings are the worst. Not from the heat, but all of the bread on them. Disgusting.
I you’re around St. Augustine thru JAX up to Saint Simons Island, look for a local chain called V Pizza. They have high temperature masonry pizza ovens that they also use to roast wings, and they’re great.
Not a wing fan anymore but best wings I ever had was at the 94th Air squadron in College Park MD back in the 80’s.
Skinless and free all you can eat.

I dont’ see Zaxby’s on that list either. Well, their wings aren’t their primary product, though they do sell them.
most of those names, I don’t associate with wings anyway. Little Caesar’s? Their pizza isn’t so good, so I wouldn’t expect their wings to be either.
Bbq is my favorite on the list but there are a few batter ones near me.
Really like Korean fried chicken.
For the last year, anyplace (named or greasy spoon) that has wings, I try them
It’s still Outbacks’s wings for me.
The next best are Costco’s Kirkland Signature Cooked Garlic Pepper Seasoned Party Wings.
I will make it a point to try the wings on that list except Buffalo Wild Wings. Been there, done that . Not impressed.
Taco Mac’s
3 dollar cafe
My favorite wings are my own. Coat em in a mix of flour, corn starch, paprika, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt and pepper. Then roll in a bowl of melted butter and put on a foil covered sheet pan. Bake in a 450 oven for 15 minutes turn and another 15. Amazing.
Useful, thank you.
The quality of wings varies so much, even within franchises.
We have a local franchise wing place that can be astonishingly good one time, and then the next 3 or 4 times it’s like eating cardboard slathered with congealed, way-too salty but strangely bland at the same time “sauce” — no thank you
Best wings IMO are homemade (I’m partial to Garlic-Parm or Hot Honey BBQ) — and then you throw the bones, the ends and anything else left over into the big Ziploc “scraps” freezer bag for bone broth
