Harris, alongside second gentleman Doug Emhoff, marked the day by planting a pomegranate tree at the vice president’s residence — a symbol of hope and righteousness in Judaism. Trump visited Ohel Chabad-Lubavitch — considered a sacred site amongst Hasidic Jews — in Queens, New York, where he had an intimate private visit to the Ohel, the gravesite of the Rebbe at the Old Montefiore Cemetery, where he was seen shaking hands with Rabbis and mingling with leaders.
Later, Trump is scheduled to deliver remarks at a remembrance event with Jewish community leaders at his own property Trump National Doral Miami, his campaign announced.
As someone who has moved countless tons of dirt with a shovel I can tell you that neither one of them know how to dig, and she may not have ever held a shovel in her lifetime.
Im not gonna knock her for doing this, even though she has no clue how to use a shovel, it was a nice gesture..she should have had Hillary dig, she knows how to bury things better than anyone
I see Kamala and husband Doug ‘digging a hole’ in a front yard. Doug is doing the actual dirty work, while Kamala uses the very tip of her spade to life a half cup of soil and toss it down where Doug continues to dig.
They remind me of the couple on Green Acres:
“Fresh Air!... Times Square!”
Doug looks like Oliver, doing farm work while dressed in suitjacket, black tie an white shirt. Kamala, may still be wearing that $62K Tiffany necklace she wore last week, while (finally!) visiting the southern border.
RE: planting a tree of remembrance.
At the university library where I used to work we had a ceremony and planted a tree brought in from a nursery to remember a woman librarian who had died.
Within a month in late spring, the tree had shriveled up, the leaves turned almost black, the bark was looking brittle and it looked like a twisted dead tree in a horror movie. The nearby trees were fine.
KamaLOL KNOWS wood...
You plant trees in the spring for a reason....
Sorry, but not agreeing with you here.
It's a photo op for political points.
So no, it's not a nice gesture. Not after she's said she she will always fight for the Palestinian people.
Ping
A great looking lawn fer sure.
Hey, no need to bark at me.😉
Don’t let him get you down, Frank. I’m rooting for you
Nothing but a photo op.
When one plants a tree for Israel, it’s actually planted IN ISRAEL not your own backyard. What a ^%/$:&: (I cannot print what I would like to say)!!!!

Ha.
Good a few of us still respect humor around here.
Did whoever was supposed to take care of it know to water it?
