Trump’s Speeches, Increasingly Angry and Rambling, Reignite the Question of Age
The New York Times ^ | Oct. 6, 2024 | Peter Baker and Dylan Freedman

Posted on 10/06/2024 12:10:53 PM PDT by E. Pluribus Unum

Former President Donald J. Trump vividly recounted how the audience at his climactic debate with Vice President Kamala Harris was on his side. Except that there was no audience. The debate was held in an empty hall. No one “went crazy,” as Mr. Trump put it, because no one was there.

Anyone can misremember, of course. But the debate had been just a week earlier and a fairly memorable moment. And it was hardly the only time Mr. Trump has seemed confused, forgetful, incoherent or disconnected from reality lately. In fact, it happens so often these days that it no longer even generates much attention.

He rambles, he repeats himself, he roams from thought to thought — some of them hard to understand, some of them unfinished, some of them factually fantastical. He voices outlandish claims that seem to be made up out of whole cloth. He digresses into bizarre tangents about golf, about sharks, about his own “beautiful” body. He relishes “a great day in Louisiana” after spending the day in Georgia. He expresses fear that North Korea is “trying to kill me” when he presumably means Iran. As late as last month, Mr. Trump was still speaking as if he were running against President Biden, five weeks after his withdrawal from the race.

With Mr. Biden out, Mr. Trump, at 78, is now the oldest major party nominee for president in history and would be the oldest president ever if he wins and finishes another term at 82. A review of Mr. Trump’s rallies, interviews, statements and social media posts finds signs of change since he first took the political stage in 2015. He has always been discursive and has...

It’s like they got rid of Biden just so they could use an age attack against Trump.

The New York Times like the rest of the MSM rehashed old propaganda so much it’s turned clear what it is nothing new to cover up for psycho Harris and loony Tampon Tim.

The party of chaos no longer has a cheering section everyone is on the down and outs list.

Not surprising they would try this now that the obvious counterpoint (Biden’s age and obvious cognitive decline) is no longer available to blunt the attack or brand it as obvious psychological projection.

They’re questioning Trump’s speeches? Have they listened to the tripe that Kammie has put out lately? Trump is William F. Buckley in comparison.

For three years, conservative media documented Biden’s endless gaffes and stumbles, and the whole time the MSM insisted he was sharp as a tack. Less than two weeks before the coup forced Biden out, the MSM were unanimously calling video of a confused Biden “cheap fakes.” Of course, now that Biden has been forced out, the media are obsessing about TRUMP’s age! The MSM ignore his efforts to aid hurricane victims and spend all their energy “fact-checking” critics of the Biden administration’s response.

Trump is at the top of his game. Opening his speech at Butler by saying, “As I was saying...” Genius.

Peter and Dylan were all in for Biden and didn’t notice his obvious dementia l until the day he was forced out, so they can stuff it.

A couple of Slimes, Peter and Dylan, trying to act like some kind of retarded groan ups and analyze the ass kicking President Trump has been giving them for the past four years.

The NYTs writes these articles to give a narrative to their progressive readers. Now, we will have to read comments everywhere of Trump rambling and have dementia.

Once the Dems dumped Biden, they started with the “Trump is too old and mentally impaired” mantra. I suspect the writer has never even watched a Trump rally from beginning to end.

Trump will move from subject to subject, but he usually returns to his original thought and makes his point. There is a difference in addressing multiple subjects and in forgetting what you were talking about as Biden often does.

No matter how much you hate the media, I assure you it is not enough.
