I am reminded of the Bill Clinton testimony to special counsel duringthe Lewinsky stuff. Rumors of extreme testimony were leaked, which turned out later to be false. Then, the reality of much more mundane testimony (while still damning) was downplayed and used to discredit right-wing as wing-nuts. I think the same could be happening here.

The Doppler radar signatures made no sense unless there was some form of man made manipulation. To what extent I don’t know.
This is highly implausible.
If the claim was that some agency was using cloud seeding to impact weather I’d be taking the claims a bit more seriously because there is evidence that cloud seeding has actually caused severe weather events.
But even if such a thing were theoretically possible, the power required would be astronomical

Not a fan at all, but I will say the NHC called this one straight up from the beginning. I was surprised by the prediction days before landfall that they were predicting the storm to move quickly and therefore be more intense further inland than usual including major impacts to the Appalachians.
Doesn’t make sense...Humboldt County, Nevada is the USA lithium mining “hot spot” right now...a large mine already approved and funded by a $2.26 Billion loan from the Feds. NC lithium is in Gaston County...well East of the flooded area.

Weather people... the only job where you can be WRONG 98% of the time and still get a hefty raise.
Beryl was suppose to come in a great deal more south of Houston than it did. About 2 hours before land fall the maps were changed. Those people are clueless. I realize it was not devastating like Helene, but those guys have no clue.
First they laugh at you as a conspiracy theorist.

Albemarle Corporation owns the mine in King’s Mountain, North Carolina, they acquired it in 2015 - they don’t have to ‘steal’ it from anyone.
It is one of the richest lithium deposits in the world. They have applied for permits to revive the mine again.
