Thank you for allowing this vanity post.
I must say I did not watch her acceptance speech at the DNC, however, I did notice right away that she wore black! ALL Black. I have never seen a candidate for president wear black. And she continues to do so. The sight of the US flag pin against a black fabric is awful and should only be seen at a mourning service. This is not only unusual, but, disrespectful and ominous. A candidate for any job will be mindful to choose a color that reflects their attitude and outlook for the position they seek and the spirit they wish to convey. She's sending a clear signal that her intentions are not good. What say ye? Thank you.
Every now and then when I was in a church praise band, the praise team leader would come up with a dress code for a particular event, “wear black pants and a white shirt” she would sometimes say. And I would reply “I don’t own a pair of black pants, and I don’t own a black suit, and I don’t wear black at funerals.”
I don’t think she believed me, but I didn’t and I still don’t.
“The VC and Kim Jong Il wore black.”
So did Johnny Cash...
“Maybe she’s actually Greek. Or Italian.”
I never thought of that. I’m from Rhode Island, with a large Italian population, and black was always the go to color at least 60% of the time, all day, every day. The occasion didn’t matter. Went shopping with my daughter and everything I bought was black. I didn’t realize it until I got home. Obviously, I have no problem with Kamala dressing in black.
