A “progressive” Texas baker and “Food Network” star has received harsh backlash, hateful comments and death threats over cookies she was selling bearing the face of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.
Haley Popp launched the blue-frosted sugar cookies which featured the Democratic Vice Presidential candidate’s likeness at her Hive Bakery ahead of Tuesday’s Vice Presidential Debate between Walz and Sen. JD Vance.
“We only have a few dozen! Order online or come see us!! Who’s ready for the VP beats tonight?!,” the bakery wrote on Facebook alongside the cookie with a smiling Walz.
Eight hours after sharing the post, Popp revealed that the bakery had received hateful messages and phone calls because of her “liberal cookies.”
“Here’s the thing. I don’t give a f--- if you don’t want to buy a cake from me because I put out Tim Walz cookies,” Popp wrote. “I couldn’t care less what your opinion of me is, nor do I think twice about your unsolicited advice on how I should run my business. You don’t like me? Don’t come here. You don’t like that I post political shit? Unfollow. You are irrelevant.”
“We’ve built a business with grit, tenacity, authenticity and one that has a real voice. We stand for something. No one will ever take that from us,” she added. “Save your harassment for someone else. With such hateful rhetoric, we never wanted you in our shop to begin with.
The bakery shared screenshots of the comments it had received, which ranged from calling Popp “disgusting” to threatening her life.
Popp, who describes herself as a “progressive, female business owner,” says she has reported the harassment to the Flower Mound Police Department in the past, but it “persists.”

They sure do hate it when you treat them like they treat the right, don’t they?
By all means, you have the right to piss off half of the population... whoops... unless you don’t bake cakes that goes against your belief.
What no protesters in person, no calls to the Food Network for her to be canceled! Lady, me thinks you complain too much….. 🤔 got to promote your business somehow?
There was a bakery opening in my town that was also going to offer lessons on baking different breads, cookies and cakes. I was so excited until I read a post the owner made about Republicans. I never even ventured near her store after that.
You see, democrat filth, we know you spit in our food, we have heard of the medical professionals who openly admit to having different feelings towards those who wear Trump gear - and yet you call us the violent ones.
I asked kiryandil.....
Are you saying that she’s available?

I’d like to maintain my perfect batting average (ouch)
coyote ugly.
Uh huh death threats, yeah right.
The worst part about making Walz cookies is that you need a horse and someone willing to milk it.
Haley can handle it!
There’s “high maintenance”, and then there’s Amy.
Yeah, but with that crazy temperament.....

Yeah, it was pretty awesome - so much so, I had to bring it here
the hair is the tell. Let the liberals support the store and let capitalism tell the tale.
I haven’t watched it in quite some time. It’s too bad it’s decayed to what it is now- the Cooking and Baking Game Show Channel. Add the liberalism and I don’t care WHAT recipes they show.
They are the MSNBC of culinary television anymore. They can stick a zucchini where the Sun doesn’t shine. Heck, they’d probably enjoy it.
They should have little tampon doilies all around his pic! Good riddance to this bakery. Glad she figured out how to go bankrupt.
