Garth Brooks accused of rape, sexual assault in lawsuit filed by his hair and makeup artist

Country music star Garth Brooks has been accused of raping and battering a woman who claims she worked as his hairstylist and makeup artist.

The lawsuit, filed in a California court on Thursday by a woman only referred to as “Jane Roe,” states the Grammy Award-winning singer allegedly raped her in a hotel room during a work trip where she felt “trapped” and alone with Brooks.

In addition to sexual assault and battery, Brooks, 62, is also accused of repeatedly exposing his genitals and buttocks; talking about sex and sharing sexual fantasies with Roe; regularly changing his clothing in front of her; and sending her sexually explicit text messages, according to the complaint in the case, obtained by CNN.

The suit alleges these incidents happened in 2019.

“We are confident that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions,” attorneys Douglas H. Wigdor, Jeanne M. Christensen and Hayley Baker said in a statement to CNN.

“We applaud our client’s courage in moving forward with her complaint against Garth Brooks. The complaint filed today demonstrates that sexual predators exist not only in corporate America, Hollywood and in the rap and rock and roll industries but also in the world of country music.”

The woman who filed the suit said she was first hired as a hair and makeup artist for Brooks’ wife, Trisha Yearwood, in 1999, but was moved to Brooks’ team in 2017, the suit states.

I went to high school with Garth. He was two years behind me, but I knew him and was friends with his brother.

Despite his name adorning a water tower or two in our hometown, Yukon, Oklahoma, most Yukon people don’t care too much about him. He has refused to do anything for the town or school where he graduated, despite being asked, and he bought up a whole section of the city cemetery for his mom and dad’s graves. He build a shrine of sorts and it angered a lot of people because it took up so much space. He is arrogant and thinks way too highly of himself. Oklahomans love Toby Keith and Blake Shelton because they love Oklahoma and do all they can to help the people and the State. Toby did not care for Garth at all. They did not get along because Toby was down to earth and Garth is a turd.

I mean, Whatcha Gonna Do with a Cowboy anyway? Right? It’s just Where Your Road Leads. He was just Workin’ for a Livin’.

Then some Hard Luck Woman gets all Shallow and you end up in some Dive Bar, Burning the Roadhouse Down while drinking a Longneck Bottle and Learning to Live Again.

Well...it was a Good Ride Cowboy.

And she was so traumatized that it took her five years to mention it?

Not to sound snarky…but you understand what a music star is, right? He was a BIG one. He has a lot of money, and a lot of influence in that industry.

You don’t need to listen to music to understand he was/is kind of a big deal.

It was the Kansas state fair in Hutchinson..
Early nineties..

WORST show I ever had to sit through.
An hour late getting started.
While we sat through non-stop Coke commercials at 104 decibels..

From the smell of the groupies seated behind us, I’d bet they were yet to be toilet trained..
