Clint moved to the Central Coast when he was drafted for the Korean War. He trained at Fort Ord which is also where he got his start in acting.
As the story goes, Eastwood was spotted while stationed at Fort Ord by crewmembers of Universal Studios. He was given a screen test in Los Angeles that reportedly went poorly, but he would attend drama lessons until he got his first on-screen role in 1955.
After finding success on screen, Clint purchased a home on the Central Coast and called it home.
On April 8, 1986, Eastwood was sworn in as Mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Eastwood had campaigned on and successfully overturned a law that outlawed ice cream cones in the town. In addition, he created public restrooms, constructed a library annex and saw the creation of a tourists’ parking lot.
Ironically Oprah is scheduled to present Kamala an award at the national Jizz Festival.
I believe Clint had a scene from “Play Misty For Me” at that jazz festival.
Yes he did. Will Miss Daisy let Morgan Freeman off to go?
Like this?
LOL.
Glenn Close had nothing on Jessica Walters.
I could be alone here, but am I the only one NOT impressed with Eastwood’s scores? Sparse, yes, I get it, but his music did nothing for the films as best I could determine.
Correct! I was just thinking about that!
