Yarden Silveira was a 23 year old male transgender who suffered immensely due to vaginoplasty and had many complications eventually resulting in death. The doctors refused to help him and would not consider his desire to fix his surgery. He said he had wished he never had the surgery or if he knew what he knew today would never do this. Since the age of 15 he wanted to be a woman.

A lady I met at a craft retreat said her ex-husband can’t understand why their adult children won’t let their kids visit Grandpa. Grandpa did the FULL monty sex change. He thinks it’s really mean that his kids don’t want their kids exposed to that.
But other than that, I don’t think he has any regrets.
Back in the days when I was on Reddit, a guy wrote a description (all the nitty gritty details that are rarely made public) of his transition to female ... he’d had the surgery. His new ‘vagina’ was a source of constant infection & pain & required ‘maintenance’ to keep it from closing (’nuff said here). His life was a shambles due to the aftermath of his surgery ... not at all what he had envisioned or expected. He was seriously depressed & suicidal and considering the physical hell his life had become, I would doubt very much he’s still alive. I have never forgotten what he wrote ... I think about it every time this form of mutilation hits the latest news cycle, political speech, or whatever. Adults are one thing & that is bad enough ... anyone facilitating and/or mutilating children should be dealt with harshly, IMO.
And what did these special people receive, via surgery and hormones, a hundred years (or thousands of years) ago?
Some boys have girl brains and some girls have boy brains.

They didn’t ask for it, they were born with it.
What you call delusional or mental illness is just evolution.
These people exist and need to be accepted. Some are artists who have helped shape your lives. Wait? What?
There is the sick militant side to the spectrum as well hell bent on indoctrination, the people who wreck it for everyone else. Not talking about those people.
Being gay or bi or trans is a terrible burden for people who never asked for it. To be true to themselves they had to tell their parents and endure rejection and ridicule.
What they really want is not to be beat up or murdered for being authentic and that I support.

That's no reason to ask doctors to mutilate one's own body, no excuse for doctors to mutilate a child's body before he or she becomes a responsible adult, and no excuse for taxpayers and insurance purchasers to be bilked into unnecessary and evil, false, money-grubbing sales pitches by hospitals and surgeons making billions off Biden/Obama's federal mandate to shove an ideology down everyone's throats.
The number of people with an actual, lasting condition of gender dysphoria is miniscule compared to the numbers of people who have been brainwashed into a lucrative (for Big Med) fad.
Even the UK's socialist healthcare system, as well as several of the left-leaning Scandanavian countries, have recently outlawed the adminstration of trans hormones or surgeries for minors—in no small part due to lawsuits by deeply regretful detransitioners that spurred "additional research." Research that should have been done with 10- to 30-year follow-ups before the first scalpel sterilized a small child. Instead, UK has MANDATED talking therapy for children with this train of thought.
The U.S. remains the most radical country in the West due to a leftist political agenda coming "through" the White House from whomever has been running this country since Biden was installed; running it with an obvious intent to destroy it from within, kill off or sterilize a large part of the populace, and replace American historical memory with anarchy.
Story after story from detransitioners having severe regret shows that the primary person not affirming their gender was their own selves. Even if they try to seek counseling or help, they are turned away by wicked laws and malpracticing millionaire doctors and hospital administrators. They were born with a sex, including their brain structure and chemistry. Sexual dymporphism extends all the way down to the level of DNA—99.6% of humans are biologically male or female forever, regardless of their thoughts or feelings about it—including thousands of years-old bones dug up by anthropologists. Your claim that the brain itself can be of the opposite sex from the body is unsupportable biologically. Much of what people now call "gender expression" is cultural. In Scotland and the Middle East, masculine men wear skirts or robes. In many parts of Asia, traditional women's wear includes pant garments for modesty.
What trans idealists have is an illusion of escape from personal challenges. They need to deal with it mentally and spiritually. Dissatisfaction with the body one was dealt is not the only contradictory or difficult personal challenge in the world. But it's one that has been weaponized and exploited.
Remember Jazz Jennings who was followed intently by the media from early adolescence in “her” transition? “She” too has had numerous serious complications from her surgeries. I am certain despite all the hype “she” will not find normalcy in “her” transition.
I’m shocked Jazz is still alive. Then again his mom keeps shit going and does not want to lose that TV money that comes in.

Having lived in large cities for a lifetime and worked in the arts for 40+ years, I certainly agree that there are many very talented and kind folks in the alternate sex practices community. But liberal pollitics has used LGBT minority status the same way they used blacks—to feed a sense of perpetual, ugly victimhood ostensibly by ALL hetero white Christians, to pump up Democrat voting blocs and weaken legacy American, Constitution-supporting voters. How has that worked out for blacks? Has it made the majority feel like fully loyal Americans, grateful to be able to work towards the American Dream? No. Breeding covetousness, entitlement and hatred between groups are communist grooming techniques.
Like the recent hysterical claims about white cops killing unarmed blacks that are complete lies, LGBTetc has been led down a garden path by false statistics and melodramatic narratives about “identity” being set in stone in one’s brain; when in past decades, many youths fooled around as soon as they got out of the house but eventually stabilized their lives around their birth sex and asked their “old friends” they might encounter at the PTA to keep quiet about it. I saw it firsthand when the AIDS crisis hit in the early 80s, and dozens of gays scurried to find themselves a hetero partner; and many of those pairings survived; because for many, what they thought was permanent gayness was a state of mind or a result of past familial abuse or neglect. Look up Walt Heyer’s testimonies about that.
There are certainly bullies and abusers in every ethnic or political group, and their behavior is shameful and reprehensible no matter who; I am glad that institutional bullying, such as nightstick shampoos or kangaroo courts surrounding raids on gay or black nightclubs, etc., has been greatly reduced from the old days, as have barriers to enter the workplace and residential spheres. But as with most leftie pet causes, LGBTQ+ has gone way, way too far, to the redefinition of words, sidestepping of accountability for crimes that heteros would be prosecuted for, and the outright, in-our-faces corruption of children.
The legal denial of therapy services to children and adults who are unhappy about same sex attraction is just plain wicked, since many of such folks got into this frame of mind from some type of distress or abuse in childhood. It’s all gone too far.

In the interest of whether the U.S. could survive as a free nation without a stable, traditional family majority, I’ve done the statistical and field reseach, at a once-reputable Ivy research university when legalizing gay marriage was under consideration but not legalized yet.
Now that Pandora’s Box is open, we can see how unhealthy our critical insitutions have become. I hope the U.S. survives the coming year.

Seriously? You think people on this board would hurt people just because they are transgender?
This is part of what is messing up our society. Are there people who would hurt transgender people just for being TG? Yes, but they are much fewer and farther between than some believe.
In fact, the current harm being done to TG people is from their supposed advocates. Surgeries have about a 30% chance of going wrong: surgeons generally do not do a surgery that risky unless the person is otherwise in danger of death from an actual physical problem the surgery intends to fix.
The route of puberty-blocking followed by cross-sex hormones is fraught with difficulties and problems, but I will name just one: most if not all who go through that protocol end up with no capacity for sexual sensation.
Most knowledgeable people who are against aspects of the TG ideology are against medical transition for kids, because it is extremely dangerous, we know too little about it, and it too frequently does not achieve a level of health.
Generally I would agree with you, but the doctors and support staff such as therapists leave out so much information tvat the patient is unable to make an informed decision, and that is aside from the fact that many of these adults have a decreased ability to make good decisions to begin with. Not to mention how many people in the field actually push TGism on people.

But that’s part of the problem and I’d agree if the so called adult was delusional in the first place then doctors etc shouldn’t even attempt any type of procedure but that’s on them and the lawsuits will fly somewhere down the road.
Problem here is they say they are delusional down the road when they found out they made a mistake.
