I consider myself informed about what is happening in this country politically, though I knew nothing about flying in thousands of Haitians to towns in red states until Trump mentioned the cat eating. Until the New York Times had some thing they felt they could attack Trump about, they never mentioned the whole situation . At first, I was unhappy that Trump gave them something with which to attack him, but then I realized that was the only way the media would ever address the problem.

Near where I grew up in Spring Valley, NY there’s been a large a large Haitian community for over 50yrs. There’s more animosity between them and “native born” Blacks than across racial lines, tribalism. In all fairness to those people it’s almost unheard of when pets are stolen by them. Most of them are 2nd, 3rd generation who moved from Brooklyn or Southeast Queens.

came to her house and wanted to “rent” a chicken for a young girl’s coming of age party.
She said they became abusive when she refused to rent or sell them one of her live chickens.
Another time she saw 2 Haitian men climb her fence and chase her pet ducks and geese around the yard until she ran them off.
