Unlike polls, these bets take cheating into account. So if Harris really has about 40%, and has Trump 58% of legitimate votes, out of 150,000,000(?) the Dems have to add 27,000,000 bogus ballots to get 49%/49% for both. That could be what the gamblers are predicting.

the race is a toss up and was always going to be a toss up, we need to be helping people in swing states fill out their ballots and/or taking them to the polls or whatever we need to do to make sure every Trump supporter in every swing state votes, and the earlier the better!
Almost a billion dollars has been bet on Polymarket. A really wealthy individual could manipulate that. I’m not sure how much they’d have to bet to move the number by more than a couple points. My guess is that it’s not manipulated.

Compared to After-Election statistical analysis of all major polls - including 2016 - the election betting markets have consistently predicted in the Top 10%-20%.

A few $5/$10 million bets by radical billionaires is all it would take. These are bets, not donations. They could win.
$5/$10 million to make it look like their candidate will win? Pocket change for them, and they would reap hundreds of fold that much if she wins.
Ridiculous? Absolutely not.
Probable? Absolutely yes.
Betting aggregate on RCP today has Trump down 7. After 2nd assassination attempt. I will never approve of Kamala, but if they kill Trump, Trump can’t win the election.
