Opinion: Former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster adds to UFO speculation

Former National Security Advisor and retired Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster became the latest official to make eyebrow-raising comments about UFOs, now formally rebranded as “unidentified anomalous phenomena” or UAP.

Asked about UAP during a Sept. 6 appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” McMaster stated that “there are phenomena that have been witnessed by multiple people that are just inexplicable by any kind of science available to us.”

...

Over a decade after they were first formally reported, naval aviators’ daily observations of UAP exhibiting amazing flight characteristics off the East Coast remain officially unexplained.

John Ratcliffe, director of national intelligence under former President Trump, injected fascinating context into recent military encounters with the UFO phenomenon. In a 2021 interview, Ratcliffe stated that UAP “have been picked up by satellite imagery [and] frankly engage in actions that are difficult to explain, movements that are hard to replicate, that we don’t have the technology for.”

U.S. intelligence analysts, Ratcliffe continued, have “high confidence” that foreign adversaries such as China or Russia were not behind one of the most extraordinary, best-documented UAP incidents.

Alarmingly, Ratcliffe stated that UAP exhibit “technologies that we don’t have and, frankly, that we are not capable of defending against.”

“So that would also apply to the Zeta Reticulans, Grays, Tall Whites, and Nordics. Right?”

Precisely!

If real they ET could take us down in a matter of hours.

That comment is based on the assumption that their goal would only be "to take us down" (whatever that means).

You need to learn a bit about this subject if you want to make an intelligent contribution. Perhaps they have another goal.

As an aside, I definitely think Strieber is way out on the fringe with some of the things he has said. He was one of the first to say that this isn't about UFO's or aliens...it is about consciousness itself. Perhaps it's even about reality itself.

As Mack has said of the people in his abduction research group. These people honestly believe their stories. Does that mean that what they say happened actually happened? No.

It just means that they are telling the truth as they know it (or believe they know it).

Mack said Strieber falls in this group. Strieber believes what he is saying is the truth.

Ok Kamala, sorry I can’t make an intelligent contribution that is up to your standard.

I cannot disagree with anything you said, it’s spot on.
The AI part is the latest. Public schools are drooling to get it into the class room. I say no, because it’s going to create an insurmountable mountain of intellectual laziness.
AI will dumb down people within a few years.

“Ok Kamala?”

Is that supposed to be a clever insult? Good grief.

I apologize for the snarky reply earlier. I’m multitasking (working online and freeping). I’m not a very good multitasker.

show me the verse in the Bible that says humans are alone in the vast universe.

Show even the slightest suggestion to the contrary.

Many things that are irrelevant aren’t mentioned and this is one of them because it’s just not so!

Humans are fickle things and can believe what they want; however, believing things that aren’t in the Bible is pure folly.

I believe huge flesh eating lizzards once roamed the earth. But the people who wrote the bible didn’t know anything about that so they didn’t write that down. But we now know that it is true, but, according to you and your beliefs, it never happened.

Not confused, I didn’t let the bible do that to me like it has for so many others. It is a story book. Many of the stories hold a ring of truth to them and others are just some guys ramblings of stories that were told to him from years gone by.

So that would also apply to the Zeta Reticulans, Grays, Tall Whites, and Nordics. Right?

You can argue that, but I can't believe that God would reveal himself to only humanity, giving us detailed knowledge of his character and plan and sending his Son to die for our sins only, but leave any hypothesized alien civilizations and their billions/trillions of other beings out in the cold so to speak. I would argue that goes against his character - he wouldn't do that to them, so therefore they don't exist.

God lives in Eternity outside of time. Jesus could have died simultaneously hundreds of billions of times in many forms.

It seems rather stretching it to deny the existence of any other intelligent beings based on a single use of the word "once" in the Bible.

Regardless, there will be many who will assume any aliens that visit us will in reality be demons from Hell. That will get ugly.

Actually it is chocked full of references. But it is not literal, it is metaphoric and symbolic. Read between the lines. The references had to represented and related to their limited understanding at the time. There were even battles between these “heavenly beings” good against the evil.

I think that when many people turn to the Bible seeking answers, they aren’t truly engaging in objective research. Often, they unknowingly seek to confirm their preconceived biases.

The issue with this approach is:

Why This Happens:

Makes perfect sense. I also think reading it and taking it for it’s words literally creates a block. Where as inquisitive minds whant to know more about a reference.

Such as the term “heavenly beings”. What heavenly beings? It can’t be just that simple, there has to be more to it than just a general generic canned wrapper. What heavenly beings are they talking about? If they claim to have seen these heavenly beings at that time what were they seeing?

I dont think they were dillusional, I think they really did see them. But what did they see and how would they have to describe it based on their limited knowledge at the time?

So I think reading the words and taking them litrally without wondering more limits objectivity. Taking it literally is being stuck in the 12th century when “it is what it is, it is the miracle of God and never question it any further”.

There is so much that makes absolutely no sense based on current knowledge. But... Metaphorically and hypothetically it might actually make very good sense even based on our current level of understanding.

Sometimes I wonder if God is just a lieutenant in the big scheme of things and the MILKY WAY IS JUST HIS SECTOR.As in any organization, every body has a boss and the Big Boss is overlooking the entire universe. So of all the galaxies out there that exist, maybe each one of them has there own Boss to create life in it as they see fit, they can set there own rules, create there own dynasty and run it the way they see fit. If there are Gods that can create, maybe there are multitudes of them, certainly, the universe is so vast, maybe it takes a village of Gods to run it. If humans are incapable of understanding infinity, how can we even begin to think how Gods might exist in the universe. Maybe it is Zeus, or maybe Odin that controls our destiny. Simply put, we just don’t know who is in charge, and lately, it doesn’t look like anybody is.
