Comedian Kevin Hart’s plant-based fast-food chain appears to have ceased all operations this week.
Hart House, which operated four locations in the Los Angeles area, shut down on Tuesday, as reported by Eater.
The move comes just over a year after the chain opened a restaurant with a drive thru at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
Hart House CEO Andy Hooper thanked everyone who was part of the Hart House journey.
“The response to the product has been incredible, and we thank our committed team, our customers, and our community partners for helping make the change we all craved, and for their unwavering support of Hart House,” he said.

If you can’t sell it in LA, I wouldn’t think the rest of the country would be willing to jump on board.

“The response to the product has been incredible".
Maybe he means the response has been incredibly poor. Can't blame a man for trying.
Not my favored chow, but you'd think there would be a strong market for it in California. Not under Bidenomics.

When you have a few million dollars to start up a new restaurant that’s doomed to fail in a year - what do you do?
Ask Kevin Hart. He knows.
