Share of DJT (Donald Trump Media Co.) jumped after hours from a close of $18.63 to an after-hours price of $19.22??? If Trump performed so badly during the debate, WHY are shares of DJT jumping up after-hours by a significant amount? Anyone have an answer?
Interesting!
Thanks for posting!
I don’t want to alarm you, but Trump was up 52 to 47 on the Polymarket.com betting site.
Post Debate, the result is now tied: 49 to 49
On ElectionBettingodds.com, Trump was up 50.2 to 48.7 prior to the debate. Post debate ( as of this writing ), it is Kamala 51.5 and Trump 47.0. A huge reversal.
Apparently the betting markets thought that Kamala won the debate.
Good to see you, pax! How’s it going?
If I'm Trump, I'll fly to Auora next. To seize the initiative. Then the border after that.
Or that people would accept the 3-against-1 brawl rather than strongly object.
Or thought that the Taylor Swift endorsement of Kamala would make a difference.
“If Trump performed so badly during the debate, WHY are shares of DJT jumping up after-hours by a significant amount? “
It jumped up two hours before the debate started.
Mondale won the first debate vs Reagan…we all know what happened.
Harris plus her to besties at ABC managed to drag her over the finish line without her answering any hard questions about her California liberal views.
To be perfectly honest, if Americans are so stupid that they can’t see the lies we’re constantly fed, then America should - and will - win the Darwin Award.
No words even need to be said. Trump showed us what an America under him would be like, and Kamala showed us what an America under her would be like. If America chooses vomit over steak, there’s nothing that can save us.
Thanks for the info, even though I don’t like it.
Stock market, which is much bigger and more liquid than the little being markets, thinks Trump won. (Historically, stocks weaken before an incumbent loses because markets hate uncertainty.)
How did you determine that?
DJT stock was plus 6% for the whole day - before the Debate.
The Election Betting markets - which are open - are punishing Trump.
The two betting markets I know about both reversed and now favor Kamala to win.
Trump is in deep trouble with people who gamble their own money.
DJT stock will get crushed in Early Hours trading on Wednesday AM.
Another Never Trumper opines. Yawn.
Crypto tanked, which indicates traders thought Trump did poorly.
I did not watch or listen to the Debate.
I wrote a completely objective opinion about what Trump gamblers are going to do tomorrow.
The Election Betting Odds website - curated by Libertarian Republican John Stossel, and updated every minute - now shows Trump trailing by 5%.
Kamala - 51.7%
Trump - 46.7%

I think that Website is used to try to sway the election. Look at the odds they claimed for Clinton in 2016:
It can be argued the markets think DJT will do much better if Trump loses and can devote more time to it. If he wins, DJT company will be run be another non-personality.
I think Harris’s facial contortions were not only mocking as they usually are, but they were approaching the gurnering level before it was over.
TBH RFKjr woulda stole her lunch, ate it, and popped the bag...
Anybody promoting or voting straight for abortion issues is a satanic ghoul. There are big percentages of voters who will flush the Republic down the shitter over killing the innocent. That is disgusting.
