“Oooppss….you mean this guy isn’t the ‘donor’?”
The absolute rage & heartbreak I would feel if that was my loved one.
It’s pretty hard to mistake a liver for anything else. But what do I know? I’m just an engineer.
DEI, obviously.
DEI surgeon?
Spleen, liver, whatever.
spleen = size of avacado = upper left side of the abdomen above the stomach and inside the ribs
liver = size of a football = upper right side of the abdomen inside the ribs
kinda hard to mistake the two
Horrors…
No way. Liver and spleen confused? No way.
I’ve had surgery several times, the kind of procedures where general anesthesia would be used. Each time ‘Show Time’ begins, when I’m given that first injection to put me out, I say a prayer and remind myself of how blessed my life has been, how thankful I am for having access to good doctors.
All that being said, I know each serious surgery is a big gamble I have chosen to take. There is a strong liklihood that all will turn out well like the last few times, but nothing is guaranteed.
Nothing at all.
Liver is on the right, spleen is on the left, seriously the good Doc couldn’t figure that one out..geez, let me guess, anther DEI hire
The hospital is a small 76-bed local hospital that never should have tried this.
heartbreaking story, esp given they considered returning to AL for the operation.
He was Delivered.
After the procedure, Shaknovsky told Beverly Bryan, a nurse, the “spleen” was so diseased that it was four times bigger than usual and had “migrated” to the other side of Bill Bryan’s body.
In a previous wrong-site surgery in 2023, Zarzaur said Shaknovsky mistakenly removed a portion of a patient’s pancreas instead of performing the intended adrenal gland resection (cutting out tissue or part of an organ) at the same hospital.
This man's spleen is so diseased it looks like a liver!
aw, come on. When you’ve seen one organ, you’ve seen them all
I hate it when that happens.
I have wondered whether osteopaths were as good as MDs. This does not give me a lot of confidence in osteopaths.
“””During the operation, Shaknovsky removed Bryan’s liver”””
And was the Surgeon number one at his Medical School?
Even I could tell the difference between a spleen and a liver and it has been years since I stayed at a Holiday Inn.
