He is a hero for his service. I have always wondered what a different trajectory are country would have been on if he won a second term and no Clinton?

Same graft. Different beneficiaries. Slightly slower timeline to the decline.

Then GHWB returned to civilian life and became a member of the
Deep State.

The elder Bush was a good guy. Things went downhill with W.
The bad HW reelection campaign against Clinton was a disaster.

Anyone who flew planes into battle in that war gets my respect. Flying off a ship? That’s just crazy ballsy.

I thank him for his military service (even though I didn’t care much for his presidency).

GHWB shot down/ditched nearby the Japanese controlled island Chichi Jima. The aviators picked up offshore by sub were lucky. The ones that drifted over/captured were killed by the war criminal commander of the island, (he ate their livers).

A bonified hero and there were cameras there to capture the moment... Pretty amazing. And then he got beat by a left wing lunatic who dodged Vietnam, because a dude named Ross Perot wanted to be President... And he had the cash to do it.

Whistleblowers have said the elder Bush had a penchant for little girls. Which explains as he got closer to death, he couldn’t keep his hands off them.

CIA, involved in the assassination of JFK, undermined Reagan anytime he got the chance. New England liberal. He might’ve been slightly better than Clinton, mostly in the cultural cues. But not in anything meaningful

41 would be a Democrat if he ran for office today. He was born in Massachusetts. He's a patrician so he will be on the blue team.
During his time, there were a lot of "Country Club Republicans" around. I don't think there's any left.

I’m a veteran and I get sick and tired of the ‘he’s a hero because he served’ trope.
You can’t judge a man’s character for something he did in his twenties when most other men of his cohort were doing the same thing.
A man’s character is more clearly revealed when his reputation, position, affluence and standing among ‘honorable men’ is at risk later in life; not when he is doing physically risky stuff when he is young.
