SpaceX carried out back-to-back launches of Falcon 9 rockets carrying Starlink satellites into orbit early Saturday, just hours after U.S. officials lifted a temporary ban on the rocket fleet.
The company first launched the Starlink 8-10 mission from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 3:43 a.m. EDT, and quickly followed that just an hour later with another Falcon 9 launch of Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
Together, the flights delivered 42 Starlink satellites, including 26 with Direct to Cell capabilities, to low-Earth orbit,
Probably didn’t want to give them a chance to shut it down again.
Musk should turn off starlink to Brazil.
He’s giving it to Brazil free so they can’t collect money off it. And its an uninhibited network for Brazilians.
Starlink needs to drop a Rod From God on that Brazilian fascist.
No, he said he would continue to service the customers even though they have no system to handle payment for services because Brazil shut their bank account in Brazil.
I wonder why NASA had a temporary ban on SpaceX satellite launches. I hope it’s not just so they could stop making Boeing look so bad.
“26 with Direct to Cell capabilities.”
Skynet... Told you it was coming and Musk would be the one to do it. He is working with government/military intelligence to track every thing we do by satellite.
You don’t need sats to track everything you do.
“You don’t need sats to track everything you do.”
Terrestrial methods are not as accurate. Starlink pinpoints location to one foot. And... can collect every bit of what you are doing on your phone in real time. And not all phone carriers are capitulating with the government data collection. This will collect it all without permission or need for terrestrial carriers cooperation. All from one infrastructure rather than thousands of private infrastructures.
The whole globe under one net.
I’m thinking about getting Starlink for my internet. It’s slower (100Mbs) but as long as I have a generator I have internet and phone.

I live on Hawaii Big Island and I pay for Starlink as it is thus far the most far cheapest and reliable internet, Phone communications, plus it is my TV.
but it is not cheap!
Local resources simply aren’t that reliable or available eg no Local TV.
For you that don’t know it, Hawaii is one the most remote places on earth with respect to major continents.
We are out in the middle of nowhere.
Aloha
Nah, SpaceX had a booster land then catch fire and fall over which leads to a bad day for said booster or what’s left of it. They temporally halted flights to figure out what went wrong after 300+ successful landings in a row. They must have found the flaw and write code for it so they are flying again. As for making Boeing look bad , the DEI corps do that on their own. Sucks for the two astronauts booted off the Crew 9 misson for Boeing’s F up.
The FAA had a temporary hold on SpaceX launches because they crashed a booster a week or so ago.
SpaceX just brought the crashed booster back, aboard ASOG ...
Or perhaps I should say they brought back half of it. The bottom half, which is fortunate. If any clues as to what happened survived the fire, that’s where they’ll be.
Looked like they had a leak of either TEA-TEB or the landing hydraulic fluid there was blue green flames not the typical color of Kero/LOX. The first fluid burns green for sure.
I think that booster was the most used booster (28 flights or something) and it died of fatigue.
23 flights. And, yes, the record for booster re-flights.
