Damn. My alarm didn’t go off. Hope I’m not too late for the looting.
1973 had been the hottest on record until yesterday.
1973 was when the last record high was set.
That’s all it’s saying.
And it’s only for that day, not the city as a whole for the whole summer.
Those records drive me nuts. Because they want to use it to scream “climate change”
And last week’s Democrat Convention left millions in the dark...
Gotcha. They love using these record highs to scream climate change
I wonder if you got what we (Twin Cities) go.
On Monday night around 8PM, we had a line of severe thunderstorms go thru, knocking down trees, causing electrical outages, etc.
On Tuesday morning about 5AM, we had another line of severe thunderstorms go thru, doing much of the same. the Minnesota State Fair had to delay its opening by several hours.
I was outside around 4:45AM walking the dog. The lightning out to the west was very vivid.
Texting my sister. She lives w Evanston.
I hope all is well
God’s way of cleaning out the filth and debris from some dog and pony show the city had recently.
Lol yeah the storm certainly Disturbed my sleep. My portable AC unit kept shutting off and and then back on. It finally developed a tapping noise that freaked me out so I had to shut it off. At about 2 am my alarm clock radio came on, and it wasn’t even set. Haven’t used an alarm in ages.
That’s a lie. I remember a summer oh maybe 20 years ago, probably more, when the bank signs showed we reached 101 one summer day.
I just posted a pretty ignorant comment then lol. When they talk about breaking records during a season, imo to narrow down to a specific day is essentially meaningless when you’re still in that season.
How much looting was/is there ?
I know.
But a record high for one day is not significant but that doesn’t stop them from fear mongering.
Amen
It wasn’t ignorant, just a common mistake.
And considering they do it with the intent of alarmism, they are doing it to deceive anyways.
And you’re correct that the record high for ONE day is not statistically significant. Sometimes I’m even surprised at how low a record high was for a particular day. It’s just the luck of the draw.
Thanks. I spoke with her and her neighborhood didn’t have any damage.
A week too late....:(
