It’s déjà blue: The media is promoting Kamala Harris without substance – just like Obama in 2008
NY Post ^ | 8/24/24 | Michael Goodwin

Posted on 08/25/2024 2:43:47 AM PDT by Libloather

A year into Barack Obama’s presidency, Sarah Palin, a former Alaska governor and John McCain’s 2008 running mate, mockingly asked a Tea Party gathering a question: “How’s that hopey, changey stuff working out?”

The roomful of conservatives howled with laughter because by then, Obama’s dreamy campaign motto of “Hope and Change” had been replaced by hard policy lurches to the far left.

The Palin question is a piece of history 2024 voters should keep in mind as they assess Kamala Harris.

The parallels between then and now are striking.

Like Obama, the Democrats’ current nominee has been maddeningly elusive about what she would do as president.

Yet she is nonetheless riding a wave of enthusiasm that could carry her to the White House.

As they did with Obama, big media outlets are helping to promote her candidacy rather than vetting her for voters.

Take recent top headlines in The New York Times: On Friday, beside a huge flattering photo of her, the newspaper declared: “Harris Making History While Putting Her Faith In the Art of the Possible.”

On Saturday, the same space said: “Harris Faces Challenge: Turning Joy Into Votes.”

A Washington Post opinion piece on Harris’ husband carried this headline — “Doug Emhoff: modern-day sex symbol.”

This isn’t journalism.

It’s boosterism, and it’s disgraceful.

For Donald Trump, the consequences are clear: his opponent is Hope and Change All Over Again.

Or, as Palin might put it, he’s up against Hopey-Changey 2.0.

In fact, Harris has been even more vague than Obama was in 2008.

The press is like the Bill Clinton’s out there putting the moves on your wife.
What happens when the wife is open to it? It could be boredom. It could be a lack of attention when this guy comes along. AlGore and John Kerry didn’t move their needle but Obama did. Kamala won’t but she can fake joy.

The real news here is the role in deep state of the Uniparty, rino party, gope party.
Look , In 2008 john mcshame and again in 2012 with mick ronmey.
And then the STEAL in 2020.
Why the hell am I still republican?
Oh, wait I never left the party it just left me.
And it took this long to wake up
Not so funny, more sad.
Talk about pulling the wool, the left and their news media have been and are still playing the still left and the right like a fiddle.
Wake up folks take back the USA.

1988-Bush ‘41 got Dukakis to openly admit he was a liberal. Trump should push the communist label and point out the ‘progressive’ facade.

Madam, indeed, ballots matter.

But ballots have to be delivered to the counting areas.

Before delivery, they have to be placed in storage somehow. These are often cardboard boxes.

Can we imagine scores of “Bikers for Trump” travelling the streets of, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Madison WI, New York, and other “Blue” cities with little vials of kerosene, one minute after midnight, tossing the vials into the cardboard boxes, followed by a lit match?

Ashes are NOT ballots!

obama was a White-hating racist who wanted to make the country safe for islam and to take the money earned by productive Americans and to give it to non-productive slackers.
As soon as he was nominated the media began changing his image into a “committed Christian” moderate who would unite the country.

kamala is a White-hating racist who will use islam to get into power and take the money earned by productive Americans and give it to non-productive slackers.
As soon as she was nominated the media began changing her image into a brilliant stateswoman, full of competence and a gifted moderate.

Unfortunately, half the American public has its head up its nose, knows nothing, and falls for the lies.

Here’s another way to look at it.....there is a good article posted for comment downthread called Fear and Loathing in the Deep State. Amongst other things it does a good job of summarizing the lies told in Cbicago at the DRM convention, etc.

Here’s the question....Is it possible for a party for which every sentence they utter is part of a statement of lies and fraud to NOT go to every length possible to steal an election to attain or stay in power? Don’t the two go hand in hand?

The shallowness of the (D) ticket is evident because common sense allows for it. They paint a picture and tell you a story but they can’t afford to be honest as they get desperately creative. We find the red flags popping up wherever they can be seen. While it seems like the Deep State would be running out of ideas by now, they still have the same “by any means necessary” objective(s). It’s a regular “Swamp-arama”.

“Ashes are NOT ballots!”

True. This has been posted before in reference to having the bikers torch drop boxes. It’s a good idea, as the boxes are clearly visible, patriots won’t utilize that method when voting, and cheaters will.

There are videos of the cheaters in 2020 riding their bikes to drop boxes (cars have license plates), unloading big batches of phony ballots from backpacks, and placing them in the drop boxes.

In 2020, watchers were too visible and were forced to stop watching. Imagine!

As for the cheat ballots you mention being stored in cardboard boxes, that would be more difficult than a public drop box. They’re in vans sneaking up to back doors, in people’s car trunks, in homes. Many were being manufactured right in election offices’ back rooms. Then they were stored in suitcases under tables, and wheeled out to the counting machines. (Yes, Ruby and Shaye, I’m talking a about YOU ... YOU vile creatures!)

But I like your idea of intercepting cheat ballots before they can arrive at Counting Centers.

Yup, the uniparty is founded on the 17th Amendment along with the Deep State, aka the Senior Executive Service. It’s well past time for them all to be relegated to the trash bin of history.

It’s hard to believe that that —awarding Obama the Nobel Peace Prize before he even took office— occurred. But it did. It was stunning. It was supposed to be so; a disorienting shock. It was one of the first bold attacks on our collective psyche; the one in which only merit would elevate someone to such a level. It was a provocative announcement of a new ‘reality’, and I remember it quite well.

Say you buy a stock at $10/share.

It goes up to $50/share.

A 25% unrealized gains tax of $10/share is levied on the $40 difference.

The stock falls to $18/share.

Under the Biden/Harris unrealized gain tax scam, you’d be $2/share out of pocket instead of $8/share ahead.

The Biden/Harris unrealized gains tax would really put a damper on new drug company formation.

Mr. Brit, you have a new leftist government over there.

Yes, unfortunately we do. I’m afraid that I won’t be able to inherit my mom’s house without having to pay a tax that might cost me over the British equivalent of $100,000. I hope she outlives our leftist government.

You and she have my best wishes.

The propaganda is worse than for Obama. I think it’s safe to say, it’s the worst in US history. We are Sovietizing rapidly.

The rallies are actually a negative at this point.

Trump should go to targeted postcards.

[to lower and modest income areas]
Postcard 1:

Affordable cars run on gasoline.

Trump will work to keep the gasoline pumps working so you can keep working.

[to all areas]
Postcard 2:

“Base load affected facilities that follow the CCS pathway must meet a second phase standard based on 90% capture of CO2, using CCS, by 2035”

“Baseload affected facilities that follow the low-GHG hydrogen pathway must meet a second phase standard based on co-firing 30% low-GHG hydrogen by volume by 2032 and a third phase standard based on cofiring 96% by volume low-GHG hydrogen by 2038”

What does that mean?

Far more expensive electric bills unless Trump and a Republican Congress get elected this year.

[to property tax paying households]
postcard 3:

consider Harris’s child tax credit

$6,000 from the federal government
$180,000 to $480,000 in taxation for K-12 public school education

for each child, including anchor babies

Almost the millions of men that came across the border Harris failed to secure are going want attentive female companionship. This means children, lots of them.

For 10 million additional children this might mean $2.5 trillion in additional state and local taxation.

Can you afford to let Harris be so generous with your money?

Perhaps Trump should lay low until about two weeks before voting starts.

Let Harris luxuriate in her laziness.

Let Harris get a significant lead in the polls.

And then hit her hard about two weeks before voting starts.

“Hope and change” has been rebranded as “hope and joy”, but so far, in neither instance has the meaning of these phrases been defined. No policy has been set down in words, only emotional appeals to some nebulous future, the path to which is never explained.

Raising taxes on “the rich” (which seems to include just about everybody with more than $50,000 taxable income) is the strategy of first resort, and further raising taxes on corporate entities is next up. A small fact of economics - corporations do not PAY taxes, they collect them from the people to whom they sell their goods or services. They simply roll the taxes into the overhead cost of doing business, and pass them through.

Barry had a team of professional politicians recruited out of Chicago of which there is no better place to learn politics.

Team Obama cared for Elite Stream Media as one cares for one’s pet.

They fed the media and they stroked the media.

Komrade Kammy is giving the media LITTLE if ANYTHING to work with.

If Truth be known most media would rather cover Trump than Komrade Kammy.

At least he feeds them with plenty of quotes that they use to demonize him.

And he bashes them rather than strokes them but at least they are acknowledged as being in the room.

Perhaps query mailings with a return postage postcard should be sent out to each registered voter.

Are you going to vote for me, Donald Trump?

Are you going to vote for the Republican candidate for Congress?

Unless a reply postcard with yes to each question is returned, that household probably needs to be made aware of the need to vote Republican.
