Jon Stewart calls out Bernie Sanders, Bill Clinton and Democrats for hypocrisy at DNC

Comedian Jon Stewart this week slammed Sen. Bernie Sanders, Bill Clinton and other major Democratic figures for hypocrisy at the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

"At their convention, they had union leaders and C.E.O.s. They had Democratic Party icons and lifelong Republicans. They had a guy yelling, ‘Screw the billionaires!’ followed immediately by a very happy billionaire," Stewart said, showing a picture of Sen. Sanders followed shortly by a picture of Illinois Governor and billionaire J.B. Pritzker.

Sanders and former President Bill Clinton both spoke at the DNC this week to support Vice President Harris' ascendancy to the nominee and leader of her party.

"But credit where credit is due: the Democrats, on short notice, exploited their newfound momentum and enthusiasm with a display of the breadth and width of this diverse, often contradictory party of Roosevelt," Stewart said.

Stewart mocked Democrats, saying that "it's all okay if it’s our billionaire. I don’t like billionaires, but he’s all right.’"

The comedian also poked fun at Democrats speaking out against Yale Law graduate JD Vance when multiple Yale alumni, including Hillary Clinton and Sen. Amy Klobuchar.

Stewart also contrasted Harris with Bill Clinton, suggesting that Harris "prosecuted sexual predators" and paused as Bill Clinton's face appeared on-screen to audience laughter.

Fox News Digital reached out to the Clinton Foundation for comment on the joke, but did not immediately hear back.

For the past two or three years, Jon Stewart has been trying to regain his former high level of fame. He’s been replaced by others who are louder than he was, more confrontational and more vulgar. I doubt if many Gen Z Dems pay any attention to him.

For the past two or three years, Jon Stewart has been trying to regain his former high level of fame.

He'll have to follow what Greg Gutfield is doing. And attack the Left constantly. But Comedy Central will fire him immediately if he's doing that. It's not a bad career move. He can end up on X.com and YouTube. Tucker Carlson is doing fine. We're heading in that direction because of streaming so it would be a smart thing for Stewart to do. But he's too much of a Leftist to do that.

It’s fine with me if Bernie reams Prickster a new one - if he can find it in the rolls of lard.

Jon Stewart can be funny sometimes. As with Bill Maher.
They’re both good entertainers. Like Barbara Streisand. And like her, allowing an exception for some political comedy sketches, I wish they’d all just STFU and not make any real comments about things they obviously know very little about.

Same for several additional entertainers. What makes Hollywood and footballers think that we out here care what their politics are? Or, for that matter, their personal lives? Keep all of the above to yourselves, folks, and we will start paying to see your shows again. Deal?

Anyone have the photo of Clinton looking out the side of face at the numerous women he abused and raped just seats away? I’ve never seen such a guilty fearful look in a politicians face. Think it was Barrack’s inaugural or a Barrack State of the Union. It’s a classic.

It has to be difficult being on the side of people displaying such blatant hypocrisy.

Once you see it, you don’t want to be one of those and the only thing you can do is try to somewhat separate from it.

The sickening progressives are so in your face obvious about what they really are.

Only the dopes who have always voted for a person witha D by their name just because they always have keep voting for this.

Kind of like a Catholic that still thinks Frankie the Fake Pope is a man of God.

Democrats using the same old stale gig wealth is bad unless we have it.

It’s why you never trust what they say.

This is all so bizarre. Maybe Stewart could pick up a little George Carlin for his schtick.
