Vladimir Putin's slow response to the incursion of Ukrainian forces into the border region of Kursk could ultimately leave him facing the wrath of his long-time enablers.
Russia was caught unprepared by the offensive and reportedly is drafting conscripts to repel some of Ukraine's most battle-hardened units.
Putin has a history of responding slowly to various crises in his tenure, and he has so far played down the attack.
In his 24 years in power, Putin has portrayed himself as the only person who can guarantee Russia's security and stability but that image has suffered since the war began.

Brave Sir Zeeper ran away.
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared it’s ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Zeeper turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Swiftly taking to his feet,
He beat a very brave retreat.
Bravest of the brave, Sir Zeeper!
There really isn’t much of a border. That’s the point of all this. Russian chauvists want to incorporate stolen Ukrainian lands into their rebuilt empire. So naturally they haven’t fortified the Russian/Ukrainian border from there side since the plan is for it to be GONE ASAP.
Obviously, Ukraine can’t sustain the level of casualties that a much bigger Russia can. This is what genocidal Nazism looks like. Everyone who opposes Russian revanchism is to be is displaced or killed. What can’t be stolen is destroyed. We’ve seen this movie from Moscow many times over the last hundreds of years of Russian history. Ukrainians know their history. And that is why they fight and defend their borders, language and culture against a much bigger force of invaders.
Russian activity in the last 12 hours. They are taking land in other places while still fighting or holding the advance up north. Again, the only winners are the Weapon manufacturers and the politicians that receive their donations.
Nope-
Russia is an oligarchy like us.
You have a small elite that in reality run the place.
Then you have a bureaucracy which serves itself and is party to the political fray.
Russia has pushed this communist command driven economic market system aside and sadly, as well as unbelievably, today we have a greater government share of GDP than they do.
Hard to believe so I’ll provide a source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_government_spending_as_percentage_of_GDP
Likewise, the atheist aspect of the communist system is gone.
Today you simply have Russia as a has been empire (the Soviet Union and Warsaw pact are gone and not coming back) being pressured by us who want to take over their sphere of influence: Iraq 2003, Libya 2011, Syria 2014, Venezuela 2020...
Of course it is all entirely coincidental these nations are all oil producers, and our true motives are fighting terrorism, WMD, democracy, human rights and national sovereignty (Hahaha).
Russia is weak. It’s us that is the shark.
Are the Ukrainian’s going after Russian logistics, communications, major Russian power generation, main supply routes, some key industry, command and control? What is the objective here?
You seize terrain either because you’re (1) oriented on the enemy or (2) the terrain itself.
None of those appear to apply here.
They attacked a bunch of border guards, this wasn’t really part of the battle space, Ukraine will lose this terrain fairly rapidly, and there is no high value target the Ukrainian’s appear to be going after.
This seems almost like it’s for the news, a PR stunt, but without any true objective.
Russia is not running a Special Military Operation in their Kursk region
Russia launched a Counter Terrorism Operation
Chechans and Wagners, supported by army hardware and Intelligence experts, are killing the Terrorists. Taking prisioners is not an option
Terrorists supply lines and paths for reinforcements are erased.
Terrorists get blown up real good when they pop up out of their hiding spots....
