Great idea. See my homepage.

I listen to it every night.

Am I able to set 60 minutes timer on rumble.com?

Does rumble.com have fees or ads?

Would this be every day, and is there a time?

I think it would be of interest to throw Bible books up for discussion, one book at a time.

NIV and KJV both have “sons of Israel” in Deuteronomy 32:9. The KJV has a good excuse since it was before the Dead Sea Scroll discovery...the NIV not so much.

They’re such a gift. I’m not a fan of the gender-neutral pronouns (”man” becomes “people” or “persons”) but I’ve never found a better narration than his. Love ‘em.

I’d like to know if Laurence Fishburne has ever done a narration.

I used to watch Pastor Arnold Murray back when he did chapter & verse of the Bible, with annotations, scriptural links, connotations of words within the various translations, etc.

I will have to definitely check out David Suchet (everyone’s favorite Poirot - Albert Finney if you’re listening you were great, too)

I think NIV is what is used in the church we attend now. Presbyterian - PCA. I take my KJV and follow along. NIV seems dumbed down to me.

It’s funny that there are no Catholics on this thread putting in their 2 cents about a Protestant Bible study. I wish Catholics were afforded the same courtesy. IJS….

Hello... I love the idea of reading God's Word and commenting on what the Holy Spirit is showing us through that passage. Am I understanding that would be what this thread is about?

I too do not want to join in any debates... those are counter productive. Not sure I can keep up as I have been extremely busy as of late ( senior citizen here caring for my 95 year old sis).. but I would LOVE to be a part from time to time if that is okay. God Bless You.

I would be interested in this, but my participation might be limited. I did listen to the whole Bible, read by David Suchet, and it was one of the greatest things I’ve ever done. He is perfect throughout. The book of Job is as good as a play, and I bet when he read Leviticus he’d only do 2 or 3 verses a day, because he never tires, and it’s tiring!

Did not know that James Earl Jones read the KJV, that is pretty amazing and I know another person who will be happy to find this out!

Formally casting my vote to hear JEJ read the KJV when we get to the 23rd Psalm!

Why does the NIV (Genesis 1:1) use “vault” instead of “firmament”?
