Kamala Harris's running mate, Tim Walz, has been sweet on socialism and even communism for pretty much all his adult life.
After all, he did describe socialism as "neighborliness." He's the guy who let his city burn.
The Washington Free Beacon's Alana Goodman did some digging and found this in an old news clipping:
As a high school teacher in the 1990s, Democratic vice presidential candidate and Minnesota governor Tim Walz appeared to extol life under Chinese communism, telling his students that it is a system in which "everyone shares" and gets free food and housing.
"It means that everyone is the same and everyone shares," Walz said during a lesson on China's communist system in November 1991. "The doctor and the construction worker make the same. The Chinese government and the place they work for provide housing and 14 kg or about 30 pounds of rice per month. They get food and housing."
Walz's remarks were reported in a 1991 article in Nebraska's Alliance Times-Herald that focused on his work on student exchange programs in China. At the time, Walz was teaching social studies at a Nebraska high school.
What an infantile and ignorant view of communism. The thought of this guy teaching this to high schoolers makes the mind reel.
Except that it's not ignorant. He made trip after trip to communist China, under Mao and other leaders as a sort of Sandalista tourist and "English teacher," and if he were normal, he would have had a far more serious view about what communism is, particularly as it had been practiced in Mao's China.

Did this Walz person mention to the kids that Trump gave up his presidential salary for four years and gave the money to the charity of his own choice? That capitalism - not to be confused with greed- works to help, just a SA competitive government system lesson?
In communism, everything is the property of “the people” aka property of the state.
The state administrators divy and distribute state property to the people “each according to their need”, which usually boils down to “your need isn’t important enough and we don’t have enough to give you anyway”.
The administrative state usually doesn’t have problems with their own needs being important enough though.
Yes, in pure free-market capitalism, you end up with “robber barons”. But at least robber barons still have to provide a product or service in order to get theirs. The state aristocrats in communism aren’t beholden to anyone except those with more power and rank than they have.

I was born too soon to have Walz enlighten me. When I went to school we honored the veterans in Memorial Day parades, the American flag, the Founders and our Great American Way of Life.
We didn’t even have drag queen shows in the auditorium.

Many people believe that “communism” means “communication”, and that “socialism” means “social media”.
did he tell his students of any Communist country where the people are actually free to live their lives without government scrutiny and where they can set their own destinations and where the leading government elite all have the same standard of living as the people? Did he tell them that sharing is when one works hard but only reaps a small portion of their hard work because it goes to others who choose not to work at all? Wow, that sounds a lot like today’s America.
It has been reported that Putz has a net worth of 138 million. How did he manage that? Arranging travel excursions to red China? Putz is a CCP puppet.

About 40 years ago I did some volunteer work with Lutheran Social Services’ refugee resettlement program, and became acquainted with a woman from Cambodia and her two sons. Her husband and four other childen were victims of the Khmer Rouge. She and the other two boys managed to escape. Communism does that too. It does a lot of that. Mao turned China into a graveyard to get to the caring-and-sharing place that makes Walz swoon.
Someone should get Walz “The Gulag Archipelago.” The buffoon does read, doesn’t he?
