CHICAGO — A group of officials elected to provide oversight of the police in one of the most violence-plagued areas of Chicago released an unusual statement on Saturday afternoon.
The Austin (15th) District Councilors decided to speak out after gunmen ambushed a victim in a targeted daytime attack that was caught on video Wednesday morning. It was caught on video, showing three gunmen opening fire on the victim, with two killers firing round after round, one from a rifle, at close range even after he had fallen to the ground. The Dems only concern for black lives comes one day a year, on the first Tuesday in November

If one wants to know why it has no end, there is only ONE statistic that reveals the cause:
Every year in Chicago, 80-85% of all homicide VICTIMS have a criminal record!
That can only happen if career criminals are being returned to the streets in HUGE numbers. Want to stop “the cycle of violence”? Stop releasing violent criminals back on the streets.
Just think about it: Only 15-20% of murder VICTIMS in Chicago are ordinary people without a criminal record. In fact, the average VICTIM in Chicago has 10 prior arrests...
In the big cities - I’ve looked at the Police Annual reports for Chicago, New York and LA - the percentage of murders by people with a prior record is 80%, and the VICTIMS usually slightly HIGHER record of arrests: 80-85%.
Just an excuse to bring in grant money. They refuse to convict and imprison so it is all just noise.
