Radio host Charlamagne Tha God criticized Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Thursday for his role in influencing migrants to come to the city.
Adams welcomed migrants to New York City during his tenure as Brooklyn Borough President from 2014 to 2021 and early in his term as mayor, but he has since supported stricter limits on their time in the city. Charlamagne, on “The Breakfast Club,” called out Adams for changing his tune only after Republicans in border states sent migrants to the city.

“You told ’em to come, Mayor Adams … We not gon’ let none of the Democrats off the hook who were saying they had sanctuary cities and they were saying, ‘Come on in, come on in, come on in.’ And that’s when Republicans started shippin’ ’em, and then that’s when they were like, ‘Everybody stop, it’s too much.’ That’s what they were trying to tell you from the beginning, but you didn’t want to listen,” Charlamagne said.
Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in April 2022 started busing thousands of migrants to Democrat-run cities, such as New York City, to counter what he described as President Joe Biden’s administration’s “refusal to secure the border.”
Adams, in August 2022, characterized Abbott’s move as “horrific,” but expressed pride in New York being a right-to-shelter state.
“[That is] our responsibility as a city, I’m proud that this is a right-to-shelter state and we’re going to continue to do that,” he said. “New York is a city that has always represented the democratic values and the values of our city of showing our compassion, and that’s what we’re doing today.”
However, the New York City Mayor in March announced the city came to an agreement with the Legal Aid Society to curtail the time adult migrants can remain in the shelter system to approximately one month, a departure from what was formerly allowed under the 1981 right-to-shelter law.
Over 200,000 migrants have overburdened New York City since the spring of 2022, compelling Adams to declare 5% budget cuts in September 2023 for government initiatives for the migrants. The city spent $1.45 billion on migrants in fiscal year 2023, according to the city.
Adams will be attending the Democratic National Convention, which starts Monday in Chicago, asserting he is “excited” to discuss the migrant crisis, NBC New York reported......
I hope the backsplash becomes a tidal wave. Maybe Kamala can word salad an answer to this.
“I hope the backsplash becomes a tidal wave. Maybe Kamala can word salad an answer to this.”
None of that matters when you’ve been assured that you will “ win”.
he’s blaming the republicans for shipping in the migrants, but doesn’t connect the policies of the democrats to the influx of migrants.
This Charles fellow occasionally hammers some point of common sense.
As in 100 million votes?
Of course not, Cause...
Lucky for me I am fluent in jive.
Keep pushing Democrats CTHAGOD.
Didn’t President Trump get interviewed by him a few years ago?
Quite honestly, he should do it again. I think he’ll get a pretty fair interview and he can reach a demographic that NEEDS to hear his message.
The Biden/Harris regime glad-handed illegals pouring over
the border, bringing crime and chaos to American communities.
Mayor Adams was ordered to cool it on migrants.
Migrants are being used in a prime election strategy.

<><>the fraudsters register illegals at proliferating migrant centers,
<><>they get ballots mailed there (to “harvest” them later)
<><>most illegals dont even know they were registered to vote, and have already moved away.
<><>Dem fraudsters then use the mfg ballots to boost Harris into the WH.
“As in 100 million votes?”
At least.
Obama and his DACA started this lawlessness.
Yeah, just like he unloaded on joe when joe told him if he didn’t vote for him, then “you ain’t black.”
Oh come on. You ain’t black!
He should never live that down.
Yet he’ll still vote straight Dem ticket.
