The founder of the popular chocolate chip cookie brand Famous Amos cookies died Tuesday at age 88.
Wallace “Wally” Amos died at his home in Honolulu due to complications from dementia.

I saw the cookies of a competitor to Famous Amos branded as “Unknown Jerome.”
Never heard of him.

I met him once many years ago. He was doing fund raising for the public library system I worked for.
He was very nice and gave me a REALLY good cookie.

Because it was an awesome story. Also because he started making his cookies to lure clients to William Morris all the celebrities knew him. And the cookies, original cookies from his store, not the mass produced stuff, were really good.
