Don’t look over there at 600 miles of front inside Ukraine, look over here at an incursion that will...hopefully, raise the money and weapons donations!

Using long range drone and missile strikes, Ukraine has done considerable damage to Russian logistics and military infrastructure. This shaping of the battlespace made Russian defenses at Kursk vulnerable because Putin misallocated military power to Crimea and trying to force gains in Donbas.
My guess is that after a cease fire, Ukraine will offer Russian territory they hold in return for recovery of Ukrainian territory the Russians hold. Putin may grudgingly accept such a deal and declare it a great victory against NATO and Ukraine.

More bodies in the meat grinder. It’s getting to where I don’t even care which side they’re on. It’s just thousands of boys being killed for money. Like it’s some kind of a damn game. I just hope Trump ends this thing fast.

Ukraine ping
The Guards label used to mean something. It was a reference to the Praetorian Guard, the elite of the elite, a ruler's personal pocket army, in case his generals or vassals revolted. At Waterloo, a French general, when called upon to give up, said "The Guard dies but does not surrender!" This Russian Guards unit, reportedly the remnants of a battalion, has decided discretion is the better part of valor.
