A Florida man was not lovin' it ... and clearly didn't want to live más ... after his wife got him McDonald's and Taco Bell for his birthday.
St. Petersburg dentist Esha Persad, 34, was arrested and charged with battery after police responded to a call to her home after midnight last Saturday night.
According to an arrest affidavit via Law&Crime, she and her husband of five years, Shiva Persad, were celebrating his birthday when an argument broke out over what they were eating on his special day.
"The defendant and the victim were having an argument about the defendant getting the victim Taco Bell and McDonald's for his birthday," read the affidavit. "The defendant then threw a soft shell taco at the victim, which struck the victim on the right side of the face."
Per the affidavit, when police arrived, "the burrito was still on the victim's face" -- though Shiva insisted he wasn't injured.
Esha was still taken into custody and allegedly said she tossed the burrito at her other half after he threw a bag at her -- claims he allegedly denies.
According to jail records, she was released on her own recognizance Saturday afternoon.
She bought Taco Bell as his special birthday meal, and then threw it at him.
It’s rough out there boys.
Guilty!
Too bad it wasn’t like the food fight in Animal House.
Or Blazing Saddles.
Article states that Esha is a dentist. But does not say what Shiva does for a living. So what’s Shiva’s gig if the author found it relevant to state Esha’s? Maybe that factored into the choice meal and ensuing argument?
“after police responded to a call”
Wow.
911 what’s you emergency?
My husband through a taco at me.
Alright ma’am, police are on there way to ruin your husbands life and career.
Many’s the cup of coffee I’ve had there in the Fishbowl, sometimes in that very booth, back before they ever made Animal House.
AAA?
(Dentist?!!)
Taco Bell and McDonald's, when all Shiva wanted was some curry.
Everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face with a burrito.
I demand common-sense taco control.
At a minimum, anyone who buys a taco should submit to a background check to see if he/she has ever used fast food as a weapon.
This is real man bites dog stuff, and obviously not really about the birthday meal.
Now just a dang minute here. Was the missile a soft-shell taco or a burrito? Your Honor, I move for a mistrial!
I’m sure she practices “gentle touch” dentistry with the finest Harbor Freight tools.
I have known a couple, where one would purposely start an argument over anything. That would be followed by the
Silent Treatment, which might last for weeks.
That would be followed by one of them saying they were ready to move on. And that would be followed with a “closed door conference in the bedroom” where they swear to never again be anything but living to each other. Lather, rinse, repeat about twice a year. I think they are still together now, after about 15 years of playing games.
Per the affidavit, when police arrived, "the burrito was still on the victim's face" -- though Shiva insisted he wasn't injured.
Well, was it a taco or a burrito? These things matter.
This one hits all the high points; Taco Bell & McD’s for birthday meal, possible consideration for hurling only the soft shell taco.
Oh, yeah, and Florida.
“My husband through a taco at me.”
SHE through (sic) the taco at HIM.
