This at home mother posted doorbell video of the Amazon driver, mother is complaining that >>>
Amazon driver blatantly ignores our "sleeping baby" and "excitable barking dog" sign. She wants driver to phone or text this housewife.
Lots of choice Twitter comments here. The general consensus is that Amazon drivers don't have the time to cater to you.
Long artile about it here:

We have this little millennial Shaniqua doing most of our deliveries, and she is every bad stereotype about the average racist black girl. Rude and lazy. She throws the packages up on our stoop. We reported her to Amazon a few times. Throw in she has her headphones in while driving.
If you dont want the amazon guy delivering stuff, stop buying from Amazon.
I spent three summers working for the post office when I was in college. Trust me when I say that whatever signs we see on a door, other than the residents names, go unread. Don’t waste your time.
Our Amazon drivers never ring the bell. They barely get the package on the front porch before they turn and are heading down the driveway.
Actually, if she has a special needs child they may not go back to sleep. I’ve got a friend with a severely autistic child, and he can be awake for over 24 hours at a time. She would probably feel the same way if someone woke him up. That being said Amazon drivers don’t have time to text or call every homeowner. When your child goes to sleep just remove the batteries from the receiver inside and the bell won’t ring. My drivers never ring the bell. We just check the porch when we get the ‘Your package has been delivered’ email.
This problem has already been solved. You can disable the bell sound and have it call your phone...
I don’t think for any Amazon delivery we have gotten did the person delivering ring the door bell. Sound like this driver did it just because he/she was asked not to ring it.
These parents are pure nutballs who’ve obviously never had kids before. Such an elaborate sign with instructions to call or text - BUT NO NUMBER OR ADDRESS.
Secondly, do something about the damned yapping dog if you’re so worried about baby waking up.
If you start out tippy-toeing around a new baby and keep everything absolutely silent for it as it sleeps it will EXPECT that as the norm. I’ve seen babies normally raised that tolerate noise, etc.
This mother has too much time on her hands, no experience and irrational expectations, IMO.
Ther are tens of thousands of Amazon drivers who deliver packages to houses with sleeping babies every year and somehow those babies don’t grow up to be psychopaths.
One solution is to have a drop off box built not on the porch.
Another solution is to install a doorbell "off switch" she can use when the baby is sleeping.
Another solution is instead of putting up that wordy sign, when the baby is sleeping, put up a sign saying "please do not ring the bell'.
Mine neither - I just find packages on the door step although they could put it under the underhang if it is raining :)
And, that is in the works. But, the drivers are too disconnected to organize they way the fulfillment center folks are doing.
I had a 55 year old part time worker who was also working full time at the Amazon Center and they had her stacking 40lb boxes by hand above her head. She might have weighed 100 pounds soaking wet so i thought it was some poor management.
Somehow I get that service without asking, and often discover a package days later.
Fedex leaves my packages at my gate a quarter mile from my house even though the gate is open. Might have something to do with me telling the radical lesbian driver to never set foot on my property again after she (it?) rutted up my lawn.
That is an amazing read, and in the end she is still here.
The immigrants are largely indifferent to corruption and casual with it, even take it as the natural way of pursuing personal gain, no wonder trust and a culture of honesty have been driven out of America and other Western nations being flooded with immigrants.
My neighbor had a package left at the end of her quarter-mile driveway the other day. I was mowing so I saw it and texted her.
“The general consensus is that Amazon drivers don’t have the time to cater to you.”
amazon delivery jobs are shite jobs paying shite pay ... personally, i’m very grateful to the folks that perform these thankless jobs, and i always try to thank each for their delivery and leave positive feedback ...
it’s totally déclassé to complain or whine about the performance of ANY worker who works in a thankless, low-paying job ... where would we be if no one stocked the shelves at our grocery stores, or sliced deli meat and cheese or delivered our orders to our doorsteps?
I understand, the article just gives a whiff of “I’m special, expect attention, you need to cater to me” When is the last time you saw someone that actually knows how to raise a child? My children were my responsibility, I chose to have them and they gave me no right to impose restrictions on anyone else. Even relatives in my home being quiet. Kids gotta learn to sleep with noise, life is tough. The sooner you start the better. As far as special needs go, not saying your friend, our society has come to crave special need and men tally handicapped children, they don’t realize that they crave the attention they get with extra needs kids. Not to say you should be shameful of the child either, but why do you or I or anyone else need to know that there is something wrong with someone’s child. No one realizes it, but they love the attention and sympathy that comes with a special needs child. Our world is a place that starts the moment a woman finds out they are pregnant, testing for this and that, then gender reveal party, me, me, me, how about letting the child suprise you with their gender. Our society is full of maturity arrested adults, stuck in perpetual junior high, always looking for the next thing to get everyone else’s attention.
Thanks for the cheering up, but I’m having a wonderful day as always. As I wrote to the other commenter, her kid is her problem. Choosing to have children doesn’t restrict the rest of the world to cater to you. My children were and are my problem and responsibility, no one else’s. Life is tough, kid gotta learn to live with noise, sooner the better. We all know that. The article just sounded like a parent with too much time on their hands looking for attention and sympathy. Just because no one liked her post about not getting enough sleep last night because her baby was up all night (cause that never happens) doesn’t mean you berate the amazon driving for busting his butt to make a living. That’s not cold hearted, that’s simply acknowledging yet another of the vast majority of arrested adolescents in our society choosing to procreate because we’ll, I don’t know, drinking, sex, sports everything else doesn’t satisfy and since everyone else does it too it doesn’t get me attention, so I’ll have a child, maybe that will get peoples attention ,me, me, me.
Life is great everyday, its a decision.
