Wasn't there a song by Eric Clapton called "Bell Bottom Blues"

I sure get tired of an Indo-Jamaican-Canadian “refugee” exploiting my flag all the time. Biatch. She knows that most people living in this country are fools and easy to lie to.

For “conservatives” in the 70’s there were flared pants. Sort of the RINO equivalent of bell bottoms.

I absolutely hated the clothes in the 70s. When I wasn’t in my Army uniforms, i wore denim jeans and western shirts with the sleeves cut off at the shoulders a la Jan-Michael Vincent.

We had Seafarer Brand Bell Bottom Dungarees, much cooler than Navy and Coast Guard standard issue.

I wore flared corduroy pants in the 70's.

I was part of the problem.

Though as soon as the 80's came I was in skinny jeans and black/white ska outfits. Gotta keep with the trends even if it meant cultural appropriation.

So, no Nerhu collar shirts or Dashikis stored in your closet back then?

Even worse, I wore polyester striped bell bottoms.

I prefer bell bottoms, easier to hide an ankle holster.

I have seen a few younger women wearing those. They’re okay. Kind of a nostalgic look for me. I worked at a men’s clothing store in the mid and late seventies during college, and we sold a lot of men’s Levi’s to girls. At $16 a pair, I think they were less expensive than actual girls’ jeans. They fit pretty well, except for the waist sometimes.

I’ve noticed bells coming back among teens the past couple of years. These things are cyclic.
