Just researching this today. This doc argues that Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections are just as effective and a lot less expensive than stem cell injections:

My wife had one knee replaced 5 years ago. She had the shot in the other knee a few weeks ago. Eventually she’s going to have the other one replaced as well.
Thanks. I found that going low-carb/low oxalate helps, but not nearly enough.
I bought a new knee brace last week that is working for me now. It is a Copper Fit natural motion knee brace. Instead of the single hinge on each side support, there is a short middle section connected with 3 hinges. It is called a tri-pivot hinge designed to follow the natural motion of the knee. I can sleep with it with no pain.
How long did it take for the knee to feel almost normal again?
I’m facing the manual braking procedure....could you give me some details and how BAD it hurt...I assume.
How much was your knee degree, that made it necessary to get the procedure?
Adult......
To be successful and recover full use function they want you to be able flez fla and Ben’s 120 to the max 130 degrees. I was stck at 90 and unable to ride a bicycle for example. Couldn’t complete a full circle revolution with it. Healed too fast.
They knock you out, force it to bend fully to 130, breaking out the scar tissue bthen you resume daily abbreviated physical therapy until it stops trying to tighten up. A year or more?
Bttt
